i have my old group, june 24-29, 2012 disney dream cruise, and everyone liked it that way. we are only posting about the cruise, and you do have to be approved to be a member. sure, people can see what we write, but thats the same on the dis boards. we ended up with over 100 members in only 4 months for that group! i thought it worked out well for all of us. Not trying to cause any issues with anyone, but all the others im in as well are the same, such as photopass shares, etc. All of us on the prior won came to the dis boards first, then asked to join, some only used the dis boards for info, some went with the fb page, i guess its whichever you prefer! only people in the group can see what is posted after they are approved to join. i like both myself! Cant wait to sail!

Thanks for making the group a closed group. Sorry I was a pain. I sent request to join. Bring on the cruise.

Sorry everyone but we're jumping ship (ok...bad pun) on this cruise. With how the prices went up we decided to swap our 2013 and 2014 vacation plans. So we'll be doing this cruise but in 2013. Have lots of fun everyone!!

Well, we paid our deposit, but not sure we are going on this cruise. Mostly it's a price issue. Still think we can do Europe for 2 weeks cheaper than this one cruise. We will see. Got a long time to think about it.

i agree, the price is steep this time. im pretty sure we are going to stick with it though, unless something major comes up. Just let me know if you want me to add you to our list of cruisers when you are ready.

Well hello!

Very impressed this thread exists already!
I have been the one to start a meets thread 3 times!

We booked this cruise on opening day (for Gold level) too and were also shocked by the price! But here we are paying it.

This is our 6th cruise but first on one of the bigger ships.
We've sailed
Mexican Riveria on the Magic 2005
4 nighter to Bahamas on the Wonder 2006
Western on Magic 2008
Eastern on Magic 2010
Alaska on Wonder 2012

Have to admit it will be tough to top the last cruise... Alaska was AMAZING!
We drove to Seattle for departure, how easy that was!
It was BEAUTIFUL from start to finish!
We all had so much fun.

The next best thing I could think of was to head back to the Caribbean and try out the Fantasy.

I actually picked 2014 because I wanted my DD to sail one more time as a teen, teen club, etc, and not as an 18 year old where you're kind of in limbo.

aboard. I totally agree with the prices. The price for the same cruise is up 40% in 2 years. Ours kids are about the same age and taking the kids out of school right now is not an option so we pay out the nose.
You will enjoy the Fantasy. I love the Magic/Wonder and would cruise on either one of them in a heartbeat. We were on the Fantasy last June and she is a different experience. There is the Aquaduck and the mid ship detective game. Animators is totally different. The Crush show is fun and the dancing figures from your drawings is incredible. Make sure you do not schedule Palo/Remy on an Animators night. There is Remy's for those who are foodies. There are a lot more venues in the adult area compared to the classic ships. There is BBB for the girls who want to dress up like princesses. The only thing that I thought IHMO was a let down was the Pirate Night show. I liked the show on the classics a whole lot better. If you have any questions regarding the Fantasy please do not hesitiate to ask.

its strange, i was just on the dcl site and wanted to see if the price of our cruise went up at all since booking, and if i pretend its a new booking, our date does not show up at all as a cruise, nor does the other western cruise before us, only the two eastern ones. when i look under my cruise details, it is still listed??

Interesting. I see the same thing you are. I think the DCL computers are off for Christmas. Does this mean our cruise is free now?

that would be nice!! i also checked May and July and no western cruises are showing up for 2014, only eastern ones, i wonder whats happening.....a glitch, change in ports?

Back to reality. The Western's are back on the DCL site. No price decrease and the itinerary looks the same to me.

Just wanted to say that we are booked on this cruise!!!! It will be me, DH, DD (3 when we cruise), and God willing another member of the family!!!!! Also my brother and his 2 DS.
