And . . . 50 days until the Alaska maiden voyage!:cool1: I can't wait to read up on those who sail ahead of us for tips, etc.:surfweb:

Thanks :) I did see that post, but was hesitant to rely on it since it wasn't for the June 21 cruise. Would you mind if I PM'ed you after March 8th to check? My parents are Silver CC, and their window doesn't open up until 3/23.

I just checked for our cruise on July 12 (we are concierge so it opened up). Not sure if times are all the same but for the Juneau City & Mendenhall Glacier tour it has 2 choices:

7:45 - 11:15
12:15 - 3:45

Thought I'd pass this info along: If you're interested in the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show in Ketchikan, you can book it on their website and children are half price! We booked the 4:45 show. The website says that time is the Disney children's show. We have a ten year old which Disney would charge as an adult ticket. So it was nice to get her ticket for $17.40 instead of $40!(Disney price). The website's adult price is $35. Really looking forward to meeting everyone! Joanne

That is a great tip, Joanne. Thanks for passing it along!

kveens, I am also looking forward to reading, after the first couple Alaskan cruises, what the menus were. I am so use to reading the menus ahead of time and picking out what I want to eat. Hopefully someone will post that info.:)

Oh yeah, 13 weeks to go!!!:thumbsup2:yay::cool1:

Charlie

Yay! Our booking window opens tonight at midnight EST. :cool1:

Me too! May need to put my reminder sticky note on my forehead! Looking forward to seeing what everyone got! Joanne

We Silver CC members can book our excursions later tonight! :woohoo: I hope there are some Palo brunch spaces left after all of you other folks have booked.

Kids want to zipline, but I am not sure which city and which company I should go with. Anyone have any helpful insights?

I'm thinking of doing ziplining at Grouse mountain, since you can add it onto your general admission, there's lots of time slots, and it's less expensive than doing it through Disney. Plus, the lumberjack show is included in the general admission.

We're ziplining in Juneau with this company at 10 am. I just checked and there are still spots available at 10 if anyone would like to join us. http://www.alaskazip.com/tour_original.html

we are also ziplining in Juneau with Alaska zipline, after we zipline they are taking us to the mendenhall glacier before we return to the ship. They are very easy to work with...they were featured on a travel show on travel channel.

90 days woo hoo!!!!:cool1:

Just looked at the link you provided, MouseMom, and we would like to join the 10 a.m. zipline excursion. Is there anything special we need to do to be included besides contact them and say we want a 10 a.m. slot?

Thanks so much for letting us know!:thanks:

And GOOD LUCK to all of us who are booking excursions later!

Kerri

I don't think you need to do anything special, except to book the 10 am tour.

Hooray! Got everything that we wanted. Palo dinner reservations for 7:30 on Day 6 (Ketchikan) and a facial at 2 on the first sea day.
