How fun! We will be there that same time but will be in DL on the 6th. We are going to the Legoland Hotel for my son's 6th bday in Sept. It looks amazing!Hi! We're going to be at DLH starting June 4-9. Knott's Berry Farm June 5, then DL/DCA June 6-9. It's me, my parents, and my DS3 and DS5. My DS5 will turn 5 on June 6, so we'll spend that day at DCA. He is a Cars fanatic. I'm so excited for the trip! We're going to Legoland Hotel for June 10 and 11 then two nights in San Diego for the Zoo and Sea World.
We are heading to DL June 23-28th!We are celebrating my son's 4th birthday in the park! YAY!
We are staying at DIS... Although, I WISSSSSSSSSH we could afford an onsite hotel, we just cannot this trip!
Oh, I'll bet that's a beautiful drive!!
It is pretty much a straight shot down I-5. Last time, we did Hwy 99 for different scenery, but that was road construction central. I-5 is kind of meh after Shasta Lake (Redding, CA). I think I remember you from an August 2014 WDW group here.
Would you like me to make a directory of everyone's travel dates on the first page? That way we can keep track of who is where when, in case anyone wants to set up Dismeets or whatever![]()
I have a question for you...
Would you like me to make a directory of everyone's travel dates on the first page? That way we can keep track of who is where when, in case anyone wants to set up Dismeets or whatever
It's cold outside here at home today...but super sunny. Makes me anxious for summer and trip time!!
Add us to the June list!It will be me, DH, DS 20, DD 16, and DS 13. We will be staying at the new Homewood Suites June 18th - 29th. We will have 5 DLR days, 1 day Universal, 1 day San Diego Zoo, and the rest is to be determined. We will probably drop the first day at the Homewood and stay closer to Universal the first night after flying into LAX.
We have had many DLR/Southern Cal trips over the years, but this trip may present some new challenges. Our DD who already has major anxiety issues has had joint pain since August. After many tests we've determined the most likely source is bad side affects from her anxiety meds. She had to do a very slow taper due to withdrawal symptoms and is now about 1 month free of the meds. We are slowly seeing signs of the pain lessening. Long story short (too late) even if her joint pain fully subsides by then, she may not have much stamina for all the walking and standing. I need to be prepared with how things work if she may need to use a wheelchair to reduce the walking and standing. Oh, and how to convince an anxiety ridden teen that riding in a wheelchair does not mean everyone will be noticing and staring at her.It will help DL is her happy place. Wish me luck!
So, I have to ask...are you a fan of the movie Clue? The "long story short(too late)" is what made me ask. It's one of my all time favorites
I'm sorry to hear about DD, and I hope that her pain is much better by Disney time! I hope that being in her happy place will make things a little better for her.
I added you to the list, too. Happy to have you onboard for June!!
Long time WDW family headed to DLR for our first trip. We'll be in the parks June 20-24. It'll be me and my wife (celebrating our 25th anniversary) with our son (24) & daughter (23). We'll be traveling from NC. The 'kids' will be meeting us there from their respective military assignments. Looking forward to seeing the place that Walt built. I was actually there when I was a year or so old, my Mom tells me. Funny, I don't recall the visit.![]()
I know it is much too early to know, but I am really hoping that Hyperspace Mountain is still being offered in June. I am preparing myself that it will probably be gone by then, but that is one thing I will be sad to miss.
