No you can't amend it on your own. Since the reservation was made through a TA they and they alone control the reservation. However if they were a Disney certified agency they will more than likely be all over this type of thing when discounts are released. I know mine is. But there is nothing stopping you from calling and making the reservation yourself. After that you can have the reservation transferred to your TA if you so desire and have them cancel your original reservation.

When I booked the Spring Discount in June for my stay June 12-21, I thought I was only able to get the discount to June 15th. The CM at that time said if another discount came out for the rest of the dates, I would have two separate reservations. So, when the Summer discount came out on Thursday, I called to have it applied to my reservation but didn't have any luck as POR only had Royal Theme rooms and my family wouldn't fit in thos rooms. I also called again on Friday to ask and still no rooms. The CM told me to call in on Monday when it opened up to the public just incase they had some rooms available for the public. Sometimes they hold rooms. I called back this morning and got a CM who told me that I had the Spring discount for my whole entire stay. I was really confused as I told her that two CMs told me that I would need two reservations to get the Summer discount for the rest of my dates. Did this CM not know what she was talking about or did I truly get the Spring discount for my whole stay of June 12-21?

If it is a package deal with tickets and /or meals you will get Spring whole time....If it is a room only only the spring days are on discount

I booked room and 5 park day tickets.

I am booked for CSR for the 12-20 with park tickets however the spring discount is only for the 12-16. I am paying the rack rate for the 16th -20. I did all the math last night so we are doing a split stay now to save another 300 bucks.

Discounts became available today for the public, nothing available for POR but the CM said to keep trying. People cancel all the time and it's still possible that we could get a discount for the time we will be there.

I wasn't able to apply the discount to POR. They only had Royal Theme rooms left and my family of five can't fit in that room. Bummer. The CM said, "I'll give you a big hint. Call back in two weeks." Not sure what that could mean.

I was told the same thing! I posted that somewhere in all these discussions. The promotion ends on the 28th which is my check in day for our third resort of the trip. TWO separate CM's told me the two week window. Are you going around the end of August too? Just curious if what they said could coincide?

No, I am going June 12-21. Apprantly the Spring discount that I had added in January covered my whole stay as I booked a package. (room and park tickets) That is what I was told this morning. So, the summer discount that came out is the same discount I got in January. Unless I get a pin for 30% off, I will keep things as is as both the Spring and Summer were 25% off for me.

Right...I'm looking at the June 2014 thread. I find it hard to believe another promotion would come out on top of all these. As black562 commented and I agreed there are so many discounts out there already for the summer dates. Can't imagine why they would remark like that
