OK, has anyone ever had a current reservation at a Disney resort and when a special was released been told they couldn't apply the discount to their current reservation. We had a room reserved @ Beach Club Villa (we aren't DVC) under the pretense (CM told us so) that when a discount was released they would apply it to our reservation. We are AP holders. When I called trying to apply the new extended summer discount (trip is 6/9-6/18) CM told me that unless a room is available at the resort you want they can't apply the discount to your current reservation. Comments or suggestions please?

That is NOT true. Call back and get a different person!!!

I was booked since December and the new discount was applied to my Contemporary stay and we saved $770.

Try doing it on-line to check for availability first.

Yes that happened to me when I had a pin earlier. I was booked at AS MOvies and when I got the pin there were no standard rooms available under the pin code rates. I had to switch to AS Music to get the pin code rates.

The CM was correct the discounts are only applied if rooms are available, if a resort is booked up they do not need to discount the rooms to fill them. The Beach Club is very popular because of the location and fills up quickly. The week I am going to Disney they are no rooms open for regular price or discounted, that may be your problem. The Boardwalk was available, you might want to ask about Boardwalk Villas.

We are booked at BCV also....waiting for a dicount.. on the phone now, No pass holder rates yet, looking to see if it would still save us money if we had to buy 1 day park passes to get the rate....I will update when done..anyone else have luck with this?

I was told pass holder rates and florida resident rates should be out on or around monday....she also said wait for those it will be a better deal for my family....so I will keep checking

Thanks for all the suggestions! BC is very popular because of its location! Its a graduation present for our daughter. We will wait and see if Disney releases the AP discount and hopefully we know about it before all the AP rate rooms are booked.

I just got 30% off our room for june 11-14th. their was a code on disney website under special offers.

I just called and the CM said the QNY code was for a package only??? But I swear it doesn't say that on the website does it? We had room only ressies booked (split stay), and I did not want to change to a package. Anyway, I kind of whined a little and he said there is another code for room only (did not tell me what it was) and he applied it... So we saved $715 dollars for our June 5-15 trip...... First 5 nights at Pop ($577.96 for preferred room) ... Last 5 nights at AKL ($1546.51 for Savannah View w/ Bunkbeds).... Has anyone been able to get a club level room with the new discount? I tried at AKL, but no luck. I am SO HAPPY though!!!

would stay at pop. what are the deals for this time period? family vacation planned for oct 11-17th so i am thinking of getting annual passes around the june trip.

are you a FL resident? They say the deals will be out in a few days?? If not I believe there is a code on mousesavers right now for the resorts,you can always check in there for updates,they are really good about that! If your going back for a family trip in Oct. then annual passes would probably save you some money! Just a couple days of hopping seems to pay for a pass..JMO

If you are buying annual passes, then I would take advantage of the room only discount that is going on now and good up until 8/14/10

I used the code on the Disney Website, and got the Wilderness Lodge for $585. July 17-20, 2010, which isn't too bad. We have had airfare for a while, and just needed a place to stay. Well they added their new special and there you have it. Of course, we have a standard view, but with it being a quick vacation,there are no plans to stay in the room.
