That's exactly my thought. Last summer we got YC for a great rate. We had a water view room for $269 and in-laws had a standard for $189 (I think those were the rates, if not its close). I keep hearing about upsells at YC and BC. My feeling is that it will be within the next week or so. I was on hold for quite a while this morning, it really got my heart pumping!

Except for last June. Disney was pretty predictable at when codes would probably be released. Last year the AP June rates started on 6/20 which is a Tuesday (never happens) and on top of that Epcot & DVC only. I thought they would release some codes last week as it has been 2 months since the last release but that didn't happen

I would bet money that they will release something for after the regular season ends but that will be too late for me.

I know....I spend WAY too much time on mousesavers

I would give them a call & say your thinking about upgrading to YC and see what "pops up"

Oh......... My stomach is in knots now. I think DH would kill me if we spent more for this trip, even if it was a good deal. I want to call but now I'm just scared. we paid 189 for YC last year at the end of June. I have a June2-8 ressie now with an AP rate of 258. I'd really love a new AP rate to come out for hte end of June so I could change my dates.

Last year was just crazy on how they waited until the last minute to release the last few days of June.

We are usually July 4 trippers but My AP expires on July 1 and I'm not sure I'm going to renew.

I'll be sick if we go Jun 2 and come home to AP rates for the last of June.

please please let them offer a new deal tomorrow (since they didn't today.. )


I've never heard of an upsell. Are people actually getting 189 for BC/YC if they have a mod ressie????? to upgrade?? I would have no problem booking to see for end of June.

I've tried to calm down but I can't. Need more info. I am not booked thru Disney. We are booked thru AAA. But still for that amount at YC would be awesome. But is it a possibility if we are thru AAA? Should I even bother to call the AAA agent?

No I would call directly & tell them your currently booked at POR & thinking of upgrading to YC. It doesn't hurt to call. If it does come up it doesn't cost anything to book it & you can talk to DH about it later.

Since I was booked through AAA I did call my AAA agent and told her the possibility of an upsell. She called Disney and the CM she spoke her told her that she has been there 18 years and has never seen an upsell before. Also, there were no promotions or codes going on at that time (end of June). When my agent mentioned to me that it may be a rumor, I did say that although it may not be happening right now, there have been upsells in the past and the CM is not correct in her statement. But I left it at that. I'm still ecstatic about going to Disney and still wishing maybe something will come along to make it cheaper for me.

No not $189 during reg season---more like $215.81 during reg season.

Maybe this will help anyone who is wanting a June special rate. If you already have an AP ressie, I don't know if this will help or not.

They offered me an upsell for June3---I didn't have an AP or even a ressie for that date.
I was asking for 1A 1teen - 5 days
I called first and asked about POFQ-no available.
I then asked for YC- only suites avail.
She offered BWI (upsell).
I was told that if I let it go I probably wouldn't get it back. I know from experience years ago that she was being truthful....she was not just trying to make a sell.
Well she was absolutely wonderful...she allowed me time to calculate ...ask for every possible senerio....for ex: adding the rest of the family, trying different dates (we already have a ressie--doing a split stay) using our current ressie to see if we had an offer (upsell) w/ it. About what seemed like an hour later I made up my mind and made the reservation.

This is what I got:
1A,1teen -1 day base tickets
5 nights BWI
no trip insurance
total offer = $1356.67
reg season rate per night = $359
I got upsell per night = $215.81

I backed out the base tickets and figured that I got an upsell = to 40% off the room. I had to get the base tickets to get the upsell.

Also worthy of note, we have a ressie for May 27 since we are doing a split stay. She checked to see if there was an offer against that ressie. There was! It was at YC. However, this offer was not as good as the one above...at least I don't think....it got very confusing!!!!! But you can try for upsell offers on current ressies and see what happens. I had not even thought to do that until the CM tried it.

So we're dancing and cheering

Whats an upsell? I just booked POR for 5 so I would need an psell or whatever for 5. I would love to try a deluxe for not much more. We do not have AAA or AP. We are only going 4 nights and have tickets to the parks from a few years ago. Our dates are June 24 - June 28th.

Any input would be great
