I went on the forum and saw that the iteneries were out for 2010, they have been out for a while. I got to looking:surfweb: and found myself booking the 14 day Tranalantic from Barclona to Orlando in September of 2010. Is that crazy or what:rotfl:.
At first I was going to wait and book while I was on the ship in June, but I was afraid that the fantastic rate that I saw would not be avalable by then. When I went online I found that I was right, those room are gone. I was able to book a garenteed deluxe inside room with air for 3 for less then 7,000 dollars:woohoo:. I don't think that rate is beatable. The June cruise is costing me about that for the 4 of us:rolleyes1.
I would love to do the Northern European Capitals Cruise but I don't that is feasible or very economical:sad2:. We have over a year to pay for it or cancel, I know I will be saving my money. I may even do some extra shifts:idea: (even though it is not overtime any more) to put enough aside. Michelle says that she will have to save for the bingo:goodvibes, she really got into it on our last cruise.

just thought I would let you all know just how easy it is to become addicted to crusing. My DGD Bethanie wants to go with us, she will be in school starting the 10th grade and that is not going to happen:sad1:. I told her I would take her on one when she graduates, just the two of us:yay:. I geuss I will have to save my pennies for that also.

77 days until we fly to Disney World and 81 days until we sail:dance3: Back soon. Magie

New question: Favorite CM from a previous cruise (if applicable)? Jaru (Czech Republic)...server (and not even our own), who was EXTREMELY helpful to us on a previous cruise when DS got sick after dining (long but touching story).

Now that I answered the questions, I have a question for everyone. Dh claims that somewhere on the DCL web site it says that the fuel surcharge should be applied to our accounts (that the decision to pay it out was made around the 17th of last month). But every time he tries to look at our account, nothing shows up. So, to potentially calm him down, has anyone been able to see if the fuel surcharge has been refunded to your account? We have two rooms booked, ours is on DVC points, but we paid cash for the girl's room, and I figured we'd see the credit at least on their room. Thanks much!:)

I wish I knew something to tell you but we never got charged a fuel surcharge.

We received our "paid in full" notice in the mail today, and it noted that the fuel surcharge has been applied to our shipboard account as a refundable credit. You're correct, the determination was made based on the 3/18/09 closing price for West Texas Intermediate crude on the NYMEX, and it was indeed below the benchmark ($70/barrel).

I wonder if this depends on how far in advance you booked your cruise. I think we booked before the fuel surcharge was added and paid it after they stopped charging people.

But I'll check our paperwork tonight too.

Have a great week!

Pat: Are you staying at Jambo House of Kidani? My DS 12 & I will be there after the cruise too. I'm soo jealous you saw the Mary Poppins play. We live in Schaumburg, but are cutting out those types of expenses to splurge on our excursions. I hope it sticks around a long time & maybe we can see it. Are you on the Doubloon in the a.m. or the one in the afternoon. We'll be on the a.m. so we might see you there. I'm parasailing in the late morning--11ish?? What time are you at?

We booked our cruise while on our cruise last June, so we were hit with the surcharge. We're using our DVC points for DH and my room, but paid cash for the girls' room. We made that payment last month, it was posted the day before their determination about the surcharge, so I guess that's why it's not showing up on our receipt (but it's also not showing up anywhere online!). Oh well, I have a phone call to make to DCL (when I booked the shore excursions, they all came in under our DD's room reservation number instead of ours, so I have to straighten that out since we're paying for the excursions not her).

Mary (that's my DD's name!) We're in Kidani 1 BR savannah view. We actually own in Kidani (DVC), so this is our official first trip home. How are you getting to the resort from the ship??

We're on the a.m. doubloon cruise, and the 10:30 parasailing (has to be early enough, or I might chicken out - I'm deathly afraid of heights!).

I believe Mary Poppins will be here through July. It's a fabulous production (a little scary - it doesn't follow the movie, it's closer to the books). If you can find a way to fund it, GO!!!!!:)

We booked way out and that must of been why we never got that surcharge.
