How late do they let you hang around on the ship / port? I don't fly out to Paris until 4 PM and am worried that I can't even check bags more than 6 hours at the airport.

Do you think I'll need a private van (4 adults - 4 large bags and assorted souviner bags) to the airport? Suggestions appreciated, thanks.

We reserved Rome Kids Tours and are getting a full day of van with driver and about 5 hours of guide time for the typical hightlights of Rome tour including Vatican. Is there a list somewhere of suggested items, price points, etc for the FE items?

If by check you mean airline check then no - typical TSA limits on liquids, aerosols and gels apply. You can check/ bring on board in Barcelona no prob as lexlaw says.

Just buy your case of beer in Barcelona and put in a duffle bag - although I would recommend just buying a few in each port just to be able to try different things.

I just checked and there were verandahs available. Actually, I'm bummed I looked since they still have a VGT rate and it's $600 less than I paid per room.

I've seen the rates swing almost 4,000 dollars above what I paid - I wouldn't worry about a few last minute rooms being discounted. Now, they show none available. When I booked they were available and then unavailable all during the course of my phone conversation with the travel agent. IT IS GOING TO BE A BLAST!!!

We are doing the port on our own but to clarify for others since it could mean different things does the tour include Vatican City or the Vatican Museum or both?

Vatican city is just St Peters Square and maybe going into St Peters church
Vatican Museum will include the sistine chapel

Just want to make sure that those that aren't aware there is a difference make the right choice

All the toiletries are in their ziplock bags and ready to go. They are in a suitcase but will be distributed between our bags once clothes go in.

The bags are out and stuff is accumulating on ironing board. Hopefully nothing needs ironing. DH and DD are on antibiotics now so hopefully all will be well in 2 weeks.

Checking everyday! It's becomming a daily obsession. We have to get it one day, just hope its not in the port...

Started to get clothes and wash bag stuff together, but have a tendancy to leave everything to the last minute! Can't leave it too much to the last minute though as we are going to see Elton John the night before!

We got all of the electronics out last weekend to be sure we had everything. DD actually packed everything she is so excited. I had to pull her dresses out so they don't become a wrinkled mess after being packed for two weeks.

I called DCL today (tracking don my cruise docs) and, while I had them on the phone, asked about the Cars 2 Premiere. Here's what they told me:

- Cars2 "PreemEar" is on June 24
Other movies to be shown onboard include:
- Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
- African Cats
- Tron: Legacy
- Tangled
- Gnomeo & Juliet
- Mars Needs Moms

I asked who the CD was and was told that they don't have access to that information (shrug!).

Anyway, just thought I'd share.
