June 17, 2016 - Magic goes to Norway and Iceland from Dover

Welcome!!
Thank you. I originally booked Alaska then I cancelled to book the new Carnival Vista Med cruise. We were eligible for a discount on this cruise so I cancelled Carnival, and booked this. I feel like I've planned and replanned and planned again for the last 6 months. I will say I've learned a lot about Alaska and Europe through all of this. Iceland is my son's dream so this was a no brainer. I had to book an 11b gty. We've never had an inside room, but we're on the ship. Lot's of rooms left, hopefully we'll get upgraded to one of the larger insides.

Unless I can figure out a way out of paying taxes next month:scared:....DCL excursions are out for us...way to expensive. Open for all suggestions on what to do that in these ports that won't break the bank.

Wow, what a lot of work! Our first cruise in the Med was a gty and we got upgraded to an outside room. We also chose an interior room for our next 12 day Med cruise because the price difference was too much for us. I was worried that on that long of cruise we would really notice not having a window, eventhough we do not usually spend much time in our room. We did not even notice! Whatever happens, you will have a great cruise. We usually do a mix of ports on our own and some excursions with Disney. Both Stavanger and Bergen look very enjoyable on your own. We are doing our own thing in Newcastle with the use of a taxi. Some nice interactive museums and the castle to see downtown. Disney usually also has free shuttle buses to get you in and out of town.

Happy replanning

P.S. How old is you son? My son Owen will be almost 13 on this cruise and is so excited for a 12 day cruise!

That sounds familiar! Do your sons know that the Edge was moved and redone? I am keeping it a secret until after lunch on embarkation day when we go for open house. Have I asked if you want to join our FE group?

There is a channel on the tv in the cabins that is a camera aimed outside (I think it's of the crew's basketball court). If you keep that channel playing constantly, it'll give you more of a sense of the time of day - kind of like a virtual window.

Hi we are the Meyer family and would love to join the FE group. We are in room 7058. Our daughter Madison is 12
Thank you so much for putting this together

Hi, Our daughter is 12 as well. Last year she made amazing friends from all voer the world and is looking forward to making more this year. Whe

I am confused on the FE list... I would love to be in a smaller group si 10 families sounds great. i added my name to a google doc but I dont know if it is the same as yours... should i remove from the other list? thanks

Does anyone have a schedule for the evening shows and dinner themes? Wondering about formal nights, theater schedules, etc...! :)

So far, our group has 5 families, including yours. I am guessing, from past cruises that the list will end up being closer to 10 by the time we cruise. There always seem to be latecomers. I do not have a googledoc for the DIS FE. Not sure if you signed up with another social group thst cannot be named here. Whichever you feel comfortable with is fine. Either way, I am sure you will have a great FE. Just please let me know, so I can keep better track of the list.

Happy planning!

I just booked the Premier Inn at St Pancras for 2 nights pre-cruise. 150 GBP a night. It seem like a ok rate for London. It's the best hotel I could find for that price. The GBP is dropping and is predicted to keep dropping so this could be good news for us Americans.

My family just booked this cruise and we'd love to join the FE group. Are names are Greg, Missy, Breyton (12), Marin (9) and Jareth (almost 2). We don't have a stateroom assignment as of yet, but I'll report back once we have it.

We have been on 3 previous Disney cruises, so this will be our 4th. Once in the Bahamas (Dream), once in western Caribbean (Fantasy) and once in the eastern Caribbean (Fantasy). We are looking forward to meeting the new reimagined Magic. My wife and I have been to Europe in the past, but we'll be adding a few new countries (Iceland and Norway) to our "visited" list. I personally am really looking forward to Iceland. I only wish it weren't summer so we could see the northern lights (bucket list item).

Greg

Hi everyone. I just booked this cruise for my granddaughters graduation present. It will be myself, my granddaughter (of course) and my cousin Jana. I have been on many many Disney cruises. We are all from Texas and can't wait for this cruise. Can you tell me what activities are being planned? We would like to get in on the FE fun.

We are booked on this cruise as well! It'll be me (Bekki), DH (John), and our two young adult daughters ages 18 (Marina) and 20 (Karolyn).

My younger DD is looking for a cruise buddy since she's never been a fan of the clubs. Now that she's aged out, she doesn't think the 18-20 meetup will work well for her either. Anyone else have a DD of a similar age that is always on the go?

I will have my 19 year old granddaughter with me. It is her graduation present. Maybe they could meet up.

Welcome! I have added you and your family to our FE list. Are there any food allergies to be aware of? Also, to confirm, Breyton and Jareth are DSs and Marin is DD? With unique names, it is always good to confirm. Spencer is my DDs name :) The Magic was our first ship ever, and we love her! I am sure Breyton will enjoy the brand new Edge club that was moved and redone since last summer. My son Owen (12) is excited to get to spend some time there again. He splits his time in the Edge with some time in The Lab, as his sister is only 6.

Happy planning!

Welcome! I have a spot held for you in our FE. I need your name, granddaughters name, any food allergies and room number when you get it. We have a group of 6 confirmed and 1 unconfirmed for our FE. I think it will end up around 10 by the time we cruise. We do not have any activities planned for our group. Are you thinking a meet up on embarkation day? We could probably plan something if we have interested parties. I have only made it to 1 1/2 meet ups because of all that goes on on that first day, especially with two young kids! I am always so excited to go and then the time gets away from me and it is time for the muster drill and then sail away. Maybe this year! :)

Thank you for organizing the FE. My name is Jill, my granddaughter is Ashley (19) and my cousin is Jana. There are 3 of us ladies for the FE.
A meet and greet would be nice but like you, I am lucky to make it to the event. This seems like a light load. There seems to be many rooms still available. We can't wait!
