I really can't wait to meet you all.

Yesterday, Jenna's pool birthday party was a success, the rain held off until 9PM

Now, I can focus on the trip Yikes, only 3 days till we leave.

Virgil, hope you don't mind, I am sending my DF & DM your blog, so they can follow us. My parents are very excited about this, & your blog will be the highlight of there day. (they are in there late 80's Dad, was in World War 11 Normandy) Dad is really excited about our trip.

Thanks, Jodie!! I can now do a better job of packing which has become a real nightmare. What to take, what not to take!! I want to take 2 suitcases but I'm also reluctant to drag that much through the airport. I think I'm going to have to cut out some shoes. There's just no way they'll all fit.

I don't know why, but this just really made me laugh.

It's a beautiful Sunday here and I'm off to a pool party then finish up packing and I need to make another trip to Target for a few random things. We're getting so, so close!!!!

I second that on packing lauren. I am trying to keep it to 3 cases for me and my daughter, but alas...my shoes don't fit!
What's the deal with that????
I prepacked this morning. Taylors clothes are all done..there's still room in her suitcase! I have 2 going so far. Still a little room left, but not much and I feel like I have so much more to put in. Since I know I'll be the one dragging them around, I am trying to squeeze everything into the 3 but now I have to worry about carry on's on Iberia. Does anyone know if a laptop and a purse count as 2 or just 1. Taylor will have her backpack so I can't squeeze anything into her. AACK! What to do!

Now I have to get off to work. I should have gone yesterday, but I will go in now and "clean up" so monday and tuesday can run smooth. We are leaving in 3 days OMG!!!! Somebody pinch me!

Hi Everyone,

Steph, BA only allow 1 carry on per person and they say just a small purse is classed as carry on. You can take one of the small cases that you can drag along as hand luggage and that is what we are doing. Pushing as much into that as possible and also the laptop case. Crazy world we are in now but that is the way is goes. We are flying club Europe and stil only allowed one. Have had to squash his tux into the case also. Shoes are definitely a problem and take up so much room. Have packed mine with sunscreen packed inside them. Surprising what you can push into a shoe if you need to. Just hope they do not leak - does not bear thinking about.

We have three cases between the two of us and just cannot get it down any further.

Hope you had a reasonable flight over. We are about 40 miles South east of London where the River Thames meets the north sea and although it has been quite drab all day is it is now a beautiful evening and quite mild also. Make the most of it who knows what tomorrow will bring us. Hope it is good for you in London also. Believe last time you had plenty of rain.

One good thing about rain in the med it is usually mild and dries up quickly that is the consolation.

Just returned from the 11-day med cruise and we flew through London. Out of London, you are allowed ONE carryon...a lady's purse counts as a carryon. And...a 22" rollaboard does NOT fit into their required size (through security). We were sent back to checkin from security to check the bag that didn't fit in their size thing.

NOTE: If you are flying Iberia at all, be aware that they lose luggage frequently. Several on our cruise were without their luggage for several days of the cruise...they flew from the US to Barcelona direct. And, our luggage did not make it from Barcelona to London when we came home. It was our only Iberia flight thank goodness!

A few other notes that you might be interested in...

You will only find (unless Disney changed since the first cruise) postcard stamps from Spain to the US on-board. We had to buy stamps in Italy and France during the little free time we had on our excursions (which isn't much). Look for a Tabac shop (you will see a large T sign outside the shop) in Italy and France as they sell stamps. It was 85euro from Italy and the same (I think) from France.

Our excursions (which were wonderful) did not allow for much shopping time and typically the time designated for shopping was when the shops were mostly closed for the afternoon (they were closed from 1:30 to 3:30 or 4 in many places.

It was a WONDERFUL trip...you will have a super time!

It was several days into the cruise. We just got our luggage from Wednesday last night at midnight..of course we are home and it isn't a moving target like the ship!

If something happens, file a report and get the report number before you leave the airport. Then go to Guest Services on the Magic and let them know you have lost luggage and give them the report number. They will help track it.

Hopefully you won't have any problems!

We just got home from our Conneaut Lake House. I still can't believe that's the last weekend we will have before the cruise. WOW!

Read Virgil's & Steph's blogs. Glad you guys are doing this, I would never keep it up. It will be interesting to read on the cruise whenever I can.

I will do all the laundry & pack my suitcase on Tuesday. I leave for Pittsburgh on Thursday. Only 2 more days of work! Yeah!

Can't wait till we're all together on the ship! That will be here before we know it. Happy travels to those leaving today or soon!

But we will try and find you. We have booked the Dsiney tranportation because I thought it be the safest way to get there in a strange city. According to Disney Cruise Line they will picking up folks from the airport at 11am, 2 pm and the last at 4 pm. We are planning to be there a bit after 10am so we can find them. Our son just finished his fourth year of high school Spanish thus am going to give him the real world test!

I will try to get a taxi from our hotel to yours. Again, not knowing anything about anything this is the best bet.

We are staying at the Ciutat del Prat Hotel. I booked this back in September prior to the time that Disney had come up with a list of the hotels.
