Hi Everyone,

I was just going over the vacation guide that Disney sent us a couple months back. Is mentions that Disney was going to send us info on how to get around the airport in Barcelona for those of us not using Disney transfers. Has anyone received anthing? It also says that when going ashore we will need our key to the world card and a photo ID. Would that be for kids too? I was not planning on carrying our passports while in port. On my last cruise with RCCL when they scanned your card it showed them your picture so no ID was needed. So then I realized we would need a photo ID in port to make purchases with our credit card.....do you think they would accept our driver's licenses as ID in other countries???

OK, I'm so excited I'm just sure I'm going to miss something!

2.) What is the protocol for prescription medications I want to have in my carry-on? What about over the counter meds?

Thanks in advance if anyone knows these answers!!

Someone may have already answered this & I missed it, but prescription meds need to be in original container & have original label with your name to be okay -- in case they check anyway!!

Linda's guys (my DB and Dnephews) hardly ever pack themselves. Linda packs for them. A friend of mine recently went on a Dis cruise & when they arrived in Orlando he asked her if she packed pants for him. Needless to say a quick trip was made to the store in WDW! They had Palo Reservations!

I can so relate!!! On a recent trip I let DH & DS pack for themselves -- DS did OK but DH forgot to pack ANY shirts! lol

We've also decided to cancel the Florence & Pisa tour. We're going to do Florence on our own, instead. Hopefully we won't regret it, but like Steph said, it'll make a good excuse to go back!

I'm awfully jealous of those of you already leaving. I have a whole week of work left before we get to go Although, it's probably a good thing, because we haven't even thought about starting to pack, yet. I guess it'll be a busy weekend!

Laura, we are doing the 'Florence on our own' excursion as well and as I said before, safety in numbers. I know you are going to be on your honeymoon and all, but, do you have a problem hooking up on this trip too?

I read the excursion report on Deb's allears..for Florence and Pisa...Has anyone seen anymore reports besides hers?

Haven't seen any other reports except what icunurseceleste has written. Basically, she said the same thing as the other one. Hopefully this next cruise will have better luck at that port. I'd be interested, if anyone had room for 2 more in their private car tour at LeSpezia. Let me know if anyone does. Thanks!

I talked with my DB (a Family Practitioner) it's probably a good idea to go ahead & get an epipen with a prescription label on it.

I live in Escalon. So not that far from you. What airline are you flying on? We are leaving on Wed. on Continental.

We live up near SF, in the east bay.

Got my euro's today. Very excited. Just left my daughter in Sacramento for the night. Home now and going to start the laundry. I need a nap too!
It's been a long 3 days. I hope to get everything done this weekend and have a very relaxing last 3 days here.
BTW we are doing Pisa excursion, not on our own. No need to adjust just a heads up.

I haven't gotten any airport information. Then again my TA doesn't exactly seem to be on the ball.

I'll call her pediatrician in the AM and see if we can't get a new one. She has a severe shellfish allergy and while I don't foresee there being shellfish on the plane I would never get on the plane without it.

Sounds good to me, Vicki! Hopefully you can find someone doing a private tour with extra space, but if you can't, safety in numbers is becoming my new motto I think our plan is to follow one of Rick Steves' walking tours, and then attempt dining somewhere. Hopefully the results are not disasterous

We are leaving in the afternoon on virgin. We arrive in barcelona @ 5:30pm thurs. I been to escalon before...suprised! Of course, it's been years. We're in pittsburg, near antioch. What time are you getting into barcelona?

What is that golden rule...when it rains it pours? I mean, really, how come everytime I go on vacation something major breaks. Last year, we went to hawaii. The day before we were leaving..my washing machine breaks. No biggie laundrys done, but then I have to spend some money to get a new one right when I get back! Last night, again doing laundry, I had some plumbing issues. Now, gotta call a plumber and have them come out.Cause water should not ever be coming up! always down!

Have a good last saturday at home...for those at home!

God afternoon to everyone from England.

It is very humid here today after the storms yesterday. Have now got my cases down from the loft and have to decide what to pack. Want to pack two definite not to be opened kind for the cruise and one that has everything we need beforehand. How I hate this bit of travelling need a maid to do it all for me I think - must be the blue blood in my veins perhaps?????

This time next week we should be aboard and perhaps unpacking cannot wait.
It is 2.33. here in England so 3.33 in Spain - getting nearer.

How is the passport situation? We have never received any instructions regarding the airports but did not really expect to.

No worries -- so do I! Sounds like you are already have a handle on this, but to clarify, original just means the one the pharmacy put on & not one you may have labeled, & not in a different container or ziplock or something. It's just because they can't easily be sure of what it is....!

Also, sorry about your TA issues. I agree they really left you hanging & that was unprofessional. Not to defend the lack of docs (or the rudeness by any means), but I did think DCL was very late in sending these as well. I usually have them in hand a lot sooner. Oh well -- hope the agency learns from your pain!!!
