Princess Jasmine - yes-BIG football game. ALso, that price looks good to me. That is what it will be from Austin - the best I could find. If you are interested in business class for a couple of seats - Delta is WAY less in that dept. too!

Hi Everyone,

Inspite of asking what time check in opens they have only replied as follows:-


On the 11-Night Mediterranean Cruises, the Disney Magic is scheduled to
sail at 10:00pm. Embarkation begins at 1:00pm and all Guests need to
complete the check-in process by 4:00pm.

Will go back and perhaps explain myself a little differently.

Are there any more DVC members on our cruise. I know that last time DVC had a meeting of members on board with a quiz and gifts and information about future cruises. DCL have said they know nothing about this but am sure I was not dreaming or perhaps it was the pixie dust.

Agree perhaps a hotel near Heathrow would be a good idea and you can get the train or tube direct into London that way you would not have to carry cases. That is unless you want to stay for more than one night and then it would probably be better to go into the city.

My eldest daughter has tayed at several hotels near Heathrow so will ask her when I next speak to her.

Alternatively you can search the hotels on line and I will have a look and see what is coming up. That way you can get a shuttle from the terminal direct to the hotel with no problems.

We have attended the DVC party, and they have lots of giveaways. It only lasted about an hour on our last cruise.

If you are looking for hotels at any of the uk airports we use holiday extras as they do parking also. Go to www.holidayextras.co.uk and search Heathrow. If you click on any of the hotels they list as available they give details of transport from the various terminals.

Hope this is of help - let me know if you need any more information but I will certainly speak to daughter and ask her advice.

We are DVC members as well (OKW, BWV, BCV). On our last cruise about 6 years ago we didn't go to any special meeting, but I think they had one.

Hi all... Thought I'd check in. I think DVC4US mentioned that we'd be on the cruise awhile ago....

Anyways - definitely looking forward to it. This will be our 6th DCL cruise and 7th overall. We'll be in 8532.

It will be me (Virgil), DW (Frances) and DD (Lauren 12). We plan on flying in on USAirways as I can use my miles.

I'll be checking in periodically, but life has been intruding of late. We're also DVC members. DD and I will be at WDW for MNSSHP on 09/22/06. DW is going on the 11 day on the Wonder 09/27/06 - she's lucky she get's to stay in the Walt Suite.

Yes, I think I will book at the hotel at the airport, & take the subway, or taxi into town.

Sounds like a good plan. I tend to get nervous, when all the planning responsibility is on me.

Hey Virgil - It's about time you showed up! Tell Frances I am so jealous, I wish I was on that cruise. I hope you and Lauren have a great trip to WDW. Rich, Alyssa, and I are going down in November for the last weekend of Food and Wine. Brittany is going to Virginia to see David.

It sounds like our side of the boat will be the party side. We are in 8530, you guys are in 8532, and I think David's family is in 8534.(Although they might be in 8032, which is okay too.)

I will have to tell Alyssa that Lauren will be on our cruise. She will be excited about that. Alyssa is bringing a friend so maybe the three of them can hang out together.

Well, our plans seem to be changing all the time. We were going to do London before the cruise and then Paris after, but it seems that Adventures by Disney has an eight day London & Paris trip planned right before our cruise. David's family is interested in this so I think we might book it also. We would leave for London on the 7th of June and then fly from Paris to Barcelona on the 15th.

The Adventures by Disney trip seems to be pretty good with all of your hotels, most meals, and all ground transportation taken care of so it sounds like the thing for us. Especially if Rich can't take the whole 3 weeks and it's just me and the girls. At least then we will be with David's family and with other people.

I think my TA has officially disappeared. This is my 2nd TA mishap. The original TA I booked through more or less refused to help me book air/pre-cruise hotel so I solicited the help of another TA. Well, now I have emailed this TA twice within the past 2 weeks and no answers. I don't think I have good luck with TA's!! I am trying to decide if I should just book the air and hotel on my own or look for a 3rd TA! If I book on my own, how do I get from the Barcelona airport to the hotel? The TA was going to book transfers for me.

Bad luck with your TA. You could book everything yourself. You could arrange for a car service to take you from the airport to the hotel. Have you been to the cruise critic message boards. I have booked everything myself. I still need to figure out the transfers from airports or train stations to hotels though. Good luck.

Hi Everyone,

Well we had so much rain last evening with thunder and lightening that surely our draught is over they say it was about 1 inch and was driving back from the other end of the island and could not see the road at all - quite nasty.

Princess Jasmine - would seriously advise you to locate and book flights if your travel agent has let you down. They increase in price not decrease so would take advice from people who have already booked on their own. It really is no problem at all. We always do our own booking having been let down by travel agents in the past. We have also booked hotel and transport from airport to hotel, hotel to port and then back to airport through a company we found on line and they have been very helpful so far. It is not cheap but the alternative was train or taxi and would much rather get things organised. If you are doing something organised by Disney they surely they will have transport all sorted out I would think - would be worth checking that out also.

Heard on the BBC news last night that they are talking of relaxing cabin baggage restrictions but do not know yet what that will be. Have to go to Gatwick to collect daughter last Friday and take her back on Sunday and they were being very strict checking people through to departure. Strange though on Friday there were the usual amount of armed police walking around, Sunday night did not see one - night off perhaps - I think not.

Well just going out to see what damage the rain has done to the garden.
I know it is very early but what time is everyone planing on getting to the cruise terminal. Understand they open at 10.30.

Hi All

Right this moment we are using the Disney transfers, and depending on whether we book a quick tour the morning we leave, we will get to the port whenever we are picked up from the hotel (dont know what time they are doing that at this point).

DS is into WW2 big time right now and was watching Patton last night. He was in Palermo! It looked very pretty. They said it was the most invaded city in History.

Good thoughts for DH right now please. He is in Kuwait, but will be back next Wednesday. He was already there when the threat was made from the terrorists to step up the war on the terror front in the Gulf.
