To all those dining with us on the 15th . . . our dinner reservation is done!! Yippee! I ended up having to call them.

La Poma Restaurant in Hotel Royal on Las Ramblas:

http://www.hroyal.com/en/restaurante.htm

I put the reservation under "Pillow" at 8:00 pm (16 of us). See everyone then.

PJ, please post your pirate pictures!!!

I, too, will wait and see the movie onboard. Is it too scary for my 7 year old (she saw the first 2, but at home where the lights are on)?

-Jodie
I'll let you know tomorrow! :cool1: Parts of the second one were too scary for me. When they were whipping Will Turner...I had to leave the theatre. Also didn't care for the hanging dead men. :scared:

Thanks so much for doing that! :cheer2:

Brenda...sorry to hear about your computer troubles. I am certainly no help in that area though!

Hi all. We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow:scared1: :woohoo: :scared1:

PJ - glad to hear someone else is dressing up for Pirate night - thought we might be the only ones. We are going to hold out and watch the new Pirates on the ship.

Patricia - The wedding was nice..........after we found the town it was in (East Liverpool) it took us 3 hrs (at 2:00 in the morning) to get there (should have just taken 30 min.) We sure got to see that big river of yours alot - we kept crossing it with every wrong turn.:rolleyes1 Very pretty up there - was a little cool, but not so bad.

If anyone's interested it is very easy to get tickets to go into the "Leaning Tower" in Pisa - www.opapisa.it

DId you guys catch the pics of the "wave pool" on the magic on the davidson blog - that was crazy!!

Have a nice evening!

GO SPURS!

Lisa, was that the wedding trip when you were going to the Mountaineers? How was that? Was it hard to find?

Last weekend till today we were @ a resort in NY. Friday it was cool & we used the fireplace. Yesterday it was hot & we turned on the ac. Today we came home. The resort had no internet in the villas! :scared1: We had to go the main lodge just to catch up on the dis board! Since, this is not a small resort We were a little surprised about the lack of internet! :confused3

Ouch..... I wonder if you came across 22/30 to Weirton - and then up route 7 in Ohio..... That would definitely be the long way as Route 8 is almost a direct shot....

Glad you found it... Hope that Mountaineer Race Track was nice for the reception....

We have our tickets for a 9 pm showing tonight after my daughter's piano recittal at 7 pm. We have some pirate costumes that we wore on our last cruise or we may even wear our MedHead t-shirts if its OK with the group.

My DW is so distracted by the Pirate movie that she may forget it is our 16th anniversary on Friday and her birthday on Monday. Only 4 more days of school for the girls.

It has been interesting reading about Magic's translatlantic cruise. Besides the rough weather, the daily time change of one hour seemed to knock people out as well. Glad that most of us are going early to get over jet lag.

I nominate Brenda (Skallywag) as official Medhead Get-Up Get-Moving Cabin Door knocker. :lmao: Please Brenda do not let us sleep the cruise away. We have to do everything on the Navigator. We can sleep when we get home.

John

The Amazing Silvernac could not see through the envelope correctly--Silvernac MEANT to say next week, the docs would come NEXT week!

And BTW

if you are going early and this is not soon enough just go online and print out the cruise contract, charge authorization form, ecetera and bring them with you. pirate:

Ok you people got my kids in the mood to see Pirates, so they are going to the 8pm showing (I guess 8 Central is 9 Eastern, right?) Mark has to go to work early so we are all going to see it on Saturday (arrrgh)

Good idea John on wearing the T-shirts! Lucky you guys going to the movie tonite. Let us know how you like the movie. I keep telling Disney Lover Linda that the movie stole our Banner! :rotfl: She's not amused!

Like others I'm reading the live thread & The Davidson blog all the time.

I don't know about this AMAZING Silvernac! Maybe she's all "Quacked Up!" :rotfl: :rotfl2: We love you anyways!

PJ, your enthusiasm is infectious!! I went out and bought pirate costumes today for us (not cheap by the way). pirate: My husband is gonna freak out when he gets home. He already thinks I've gone off the deep end with all this cruise stuff. Wait until he sees what I bought him to wear. :rotfl2: I offset the pirate costumes by finding a formal dress at the Goodwill store. I was psyched! Gotta stop eating ice cream so that I can fit into my dress. :scared:

Skallywag . . .:badpc:

Jodie...you're the best.
Silvernac...i'll be waiting.

The magic is in Barcelona! I can't believe this is so close. 20 days left!

Cell Phone Service is now available on the Disney Magic. The service is only available in guest staterooms and is provided by a wireless cellular network that supports over 340 cellular providers including Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Alltel. Users are billed by their cell service provider and rates vary according to plan. The service will be available on the Disney Wonder by mid-summer.

Saw this on the PassPorter Web site...Does anyone know the rates or if it will actually work on the Med. cruise?

Can anyone tell me how to get to the webcam and what threads to read for the other cruises? I've looked back over several weeks and have found some sites but that's not what I'm looking for. I feel the need to read about how the transatlantic went. Thanks!

read this blog davidsondrifters.blogspot.com

Page 2 when we only have 19 or so more days??

Bad medheaders!:rotfl:

Kids saw pirates last night--the Americans loved it, the European thought it was hard to follow popcorn::

Took the family last night to Pirates 3 to a 9 pm showing. We got there at 8 and got great seats, we purchased our tickets a couple of weeks ago and expected a mad house like last year. I wore my puffy pirate shirt, hat and eyepatch. Katie (DD11) wore her Medhead t-shirt and pirate hat. Alison (DW) and Kelly (DD7) just wore their Medhead t-shirts. If you are keeping score at home, yes we kept our children out after midnight on a school night. :confused3 Hey but it was 3 hours earlier than last year.:scared1:

2 hours and 40 minutes of Pirates and then you have to wait thru the credits to see another 30 seconds of important material. Only 20 people stayed for this clip. Please stay when you go see the movie.

Won't give the story away but will offer that it is better than Pirates 2.

Wishing everyone a good weekend.

John, love your Pirate Movie adventure. Was anyone else dressed in the theator? Looking forward to meeting you all. I hope Katie & Jenna will make friends.

Here is another blog I found for the next 2 weeks.

http://breighton.qseg.org/

Yesterday went to Ellis Island, for my DD's class trip. I wore my "new" walking shoes. :thumbsup2 It was about 80 and very hot. Shoes held up well.
I almost cried when I saw the Lady Liberty. Accross from her was the Queen Mary 2. Boy she looks like a big...... Disney boat. It really got me very 3excited :woohoo:

Marie, I am going to email Angie's taxi one more time, just to make sure they didn't forget us.

Jodie, thanks for planning our pre-dinner meet. I can hardly wait.

Off to make the doughnuts (work)

Good for you...my senior and several of his friends left school early to see the show at the matinee! I guess we both are in the bad parent club!

Patricia,

I'm sure she didn't forget us but its definitely best to be sure. Can't wait! If you want to share a cab for dinner with Jodie and the gang, let me know what time and we can meet in the lobby. Do you want to go a little early so we can wonder around the shops? I don't want to fall asleep waiting to go out! lol

Jodie,

Thanks for making the reservation, it will be a great precruise outing!

Hi Marie,

I would love to meet you & find our way to the resturant. Not sure if my DMIL will come, but you can count Jenna & I.

Before you leave, PM me with your last name, as I will do as well, this way you can find me at the hotel. :yay:

Can yall believe we are at the point in our planning that we are asking last names, setting up meets outside the cruise and making dinner plans?:cool1:
