June 15 - June 22 2013 Eastern Fantasy

I'm impressed that they didn't break up the FE groups on your cruise. However, didn't you go on the "pirate" cruise. That was the same group of cruisers from our 2008 Panama Canal cruise. We followed them on their FB page and keep in touch with so many of them. It's no wonder they kept the FE group together.

On our cruise last month, we had about 60 FE participants over three separate groups of about 20 each. I wondered why they split it up, but it turned out okay afterall.

You are correct this was the the Pirate cruise. This group was like we had over a 100 on the PC cruise so bring on all comers, the more the merrier. There was actually a second and third FE groups. The first group was at the 75 day cutoff but then DCL offered the VGTs and DVC deals and the newbies wanted to join. A second group of 20 cabins were in that group and then the last second requests formed a third group. We just stayed with the first group. I think the 60 was too large and that 30 cabins is enough before a split is recommended. We'll see what this cruise brings. It will be a group vote much later on what we'll do.

Nice pics of St Maarten. Especially like the bow shot of the Fantasy. St Maarten is a beautiful island. We are planning on the Benard's tour for this cruise and hope for a good fly over at Maho beach.

So excited that they opened up more categories yesterday (it had been showing only veranda.) I was able to change my 7a GTY to an 8a room 5520, that is set up like a mini suite with 2 huge portholes, 2 tvs, and a lot more square footage. While technically a downgrade, we are much more excited for this room, and saved some money, too!

Hi all,

Brand new to this, but just finished our first Disney Cruise on the Dream to the Bahamas and LOVED it! :yay: While onboard we booked our next cruise which happens to be this same one.

My sailing party includes my hubby, and our 2 sons (who will be 8 and 10 by sailing).

Looking forward to getting to know you as we countdown to another magical trip!

:welcome: aboard the Father's Day Eastern Fantasy. You will love 7 day crusies compared to 3/4 day cruises. The extra days are wonderful and also not going to Nassau is great.

Looking in to 1 night pre-cruise at poly....standard view is $533 for one night!!!!! WTH?? Are all the resorts on the monorail like that? Good heavens! Now thinking BLT using DVC points. No parks...just resort. Hopefully CG for dinner and KC for bfast on Saturday. DDP? Thoughts...

Welcome! Our first cruise was a 3 night Bahamas in the Magic when Ds was four. We weren't sure if he would like it, so we kept it short, but on the last night when we told him we were going home the next morning, he cried! We were hooked.

That boy well also be 10 on this cruise. There are quite a few boys in that age range on this cruise, so the boys will have lots of cohorts!

That's great to hear about more boys onboard within this age range! My kids will be excited.

Today my oldest was already talking about the "next-next" cruise when he'll be able to go to the tween spots! I think we got them hooked as well.

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

Welcome aboard! Check the first post in this thread for all the info you've requested!

We had those cabins booked and my daughter has called off the wedding. Glad you guys were able to jump on them.

So, you can take us all off the list for this cruise.

Thanks. Bob and I are actually on the Fantasy on 9/22/12. And I'm glad my daughter decided to cancel now. Much easier than a divorce later. Unfortunately though we purchased the wedding dress.

Yikes!?! Yes, the rooms are high on the monorail, but also for the Epcot resorts. That said, we've never paid that much. Watch for specials & discounts if you want to pay cash. We booked the Poly a few years ago for $199 per night. We have also done the CR for $199 per night. I've even heard of rooms for less.

At those prices, it'd probably be a lot less to rent points and stay DVC if you want to save your points.

Right now, we are booked at BLT before and after the cruise. However, we are thinking of moving to AKL before the cruise at the 7-month mark. We want to do two nights Concierge Savannah View as I think those are the only DVC Concierge rooms at WDW. Does anyone know if these go quickly?

We too aren't doing the parks, but just want to relax at the resorts which is why we're thinking of doing two different ones. We did the parks after our cruise last month and it was exhausting and hot after a relaxing cruise.
