I got you down....:thumbsup2

By the way I found the info on the Mexican Food on Formal Night on the main page over the weekend. I tried to go back and look at the post but I'm at work. (Ssshhh) I look this afternoon after the stock market closes. (1:00pm on the West Coast)When I find it I'll post the link. There was no info on the other meals. Just that one FYI.

Ok, so. The secret is out. I am Sorcerer Mom's friend...I am also Greg:scared1: Yep, I wanted to make sure that I was included on the fish extenders and any dinning reservations without letting Darlene know I was going on the cruise with her. I have been working non-stop to surprise her at the port but today the cat was let out of the bag...and I have to say I am a little happy. It is a lot of work coming up with excuses and fake identities just to keep a secret. Secretkeeper I don't know how you did it. We will still try to keep the secret from the rest of the family:scared:

So a little about the real me. I am Christine and my DH is Joey. This will be our 3rd DC (2nd 7-night). We are huge Disney fans, we even got married in Disneyworld. We have been to DL a ton of times mostly with Darlene and family. We are really excited to be on the trip since it really is a spur of the moment trip (usually plan 18 months in advance). Ok, I think I've covered everything just about everything. Very excited to be cruising with you.

First off I had the Dis Boards to distract me. DH refused to talk about it so I had no one at home to talk to. We made the reservation on April 1st 2006 and I didn't reveal till Christmas. It was really really hard!!!

Hi Everyone! Did not get to post ONCE yesterday and couldn't even read the board! Don't my bosses know I have important DIS business to take care of??? Geesh! To make matters worse, I think this will be my only chance to post today :scared1:

ANYWAY, first, can I just say that I love our thread is most always on the first page now! How great is that?

Second, can you guys believe my sneaky friends:jumping1: ...I'm still in complete shock but soooooo excited - you'll love 'em! I'm glad she feels much better that the secret's out but now we BOTH have to keep the secret from the rest of my family - I can't wait to see their faces :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Brooklyn - I PM'd you our info. and thanks again for arranging this.

Secretkeeper - I started to respond to your PM's yesterday and got distracted from my surprise news from LV Stitch then got slammed with work so I promise to do that today at some point. I gotta be careful not to let everyone see my posts now :ssst:

There is a possibility that my DH will not be able to go on our cruise due to work :furious: . Not his fault and it's not like he can just leave so it's out of our hands. We should know in about 10 days or so but I'm going to think good thoughts and hope for a big dose of pixie dust pixiedust: Say your prayers everyone. By the time we're on the ship, I'll need a drink of the day for each hand!

Gotta run and make myself look less scary for work and I'll try my best to get on to post later.

Have a great Friday!

Well, WELCOME, again! Did you want to let the cat out of the bag or was it just a mistake? I am so trying to keep this from my kids but I am not sure if it is going to work!!! I might have to tell them that we are going on a cruise just not when the cruise is???? :confused3

Well she asked if I wanted to go with her in case her DH couldn't. I really didn't have a choice. Plus it was the hardest thing I have ever done and I only kept the secret for a week:confused3.

I would be disappointed about the menu is they changed it to Mexican food too. That is my least favorite type of food. Well I guess we could all just go to Topsideres if we don't like the menu. It does seem weird that they would have Mexican food on Formal Night...pirate night makes a little more sense.

Mexican food on the east coast is frequently so much different then the mexican food I get on the west coast for a number of reasons. One of the things I notice the most is that they often make Mexican food really fancy. That being said, maybe Disney is aiming for more of the fancy Mexican food feel which has little or nothing to do with basic mexican food we most frequently think of like tacos and such. If thats the case then it will be very upscale and I'm sure much more what you're expecting for formal night. Either way though I'm sure we'll all have fun dressing up. I hope however that at some other time on the cruise they have standard, and good, mexican food :)

Hmmm....please correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've been reading on the DisBoards, the formal night will be Monday night which will also be the Golden Mickey Night. Seems kinds strange that they would do Mexican Food, no matter how fancy, on Golden Mickey night which from what I understand, it like the Oscars!:confused3 Oh well, it is what it is!

It's fun to speculate as to what will happen but at this point, I'm just glad we're going and trying not to "overthink" if you know what I mean!:cloud9:

Still not having much luck on getting my Cabo Dolphin Swim. I have got the PV one as a back up in case no one cancels in Cabo. I booked it through the cruise so I have the option of cancelling 3 days before departure and if we do swim in PV, we have the transportation all set. From what I understand, the Dolphin facility is about 30 minutes away from the pier. I really hope Cabo opens up as we have the last swim time in PV:(

Going to try to go to Disneyland sometime this month to pick up some pins so my son can do some trading. We usually buy special ones that mean something to him but we'll leave those at home and get some that aren't so expensive and trade those.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Not sure if you still have room but if you do, add 4 to the group. Don't know our rooms as we have GTY status.

If you're all filled up, that's okay! Thanks!

You can also get pins on ebay for cheap if you want.

Just keeping us bumped up.

OK so I know there will be a race to see who is first in line between three of you:rotfl: but does everyone have their mornings planned out?

From the info I have gathered we will be able to check in around 10:30am but if everyone gets to the port earlier than that are you planning on hanging out in the parking lot with all your luggage and than draging it to the check in area:confused3 I have only sailed out of Port Canaveral and they don't let you in the area until you can board so I am a little confused on how this will work. I am hoping someone from the previous cruises will tell us.

Also where do you plan to eat once you get on the ship? I really like eating a Parrot Cay. I know everyone likes eating at Topsides since it's outside but I think it's just to crowded especially if you are lugging around all of your carry on luggage.

It also doesn't look like we will have much time between getting into our rooms and the Muster Drill. There's only like an hour and a half between the two, I wonder if they are going to do the ship walking tour before we depart at 4:15:confused3

We're getting there between 12 and 1 depending on traffic and car rental drop off. I don't know where we plan to eat, but we do plan to have lunch on the ship. If everyone is meeting in one central location we'd love to meet there, but we dont have a preference on where that is. I think we'll also give our parents a tour of the ship sometime but those are the only plans we have prior to the party on top as we leave.

I will be racing there!!!

Ues I plan on bringing my cot and sleeping in the parking lot! I figure I can be the welcoming committee for the ship that just returned!!! :rotfl:

We will def be there early. We are going to go to the Del Mar fair on Sat though for opening day. I am have to make sure we rae all packed and everything before we leave on Sat for the fair. Then I am waking the girls up early and we are getting in the car. I will be ready to explode by that point trying to hold the secret!!!!

What do you mean by "letting you in the area only when you can board?" We got to the port somewhat early but boarding did not start for another hour and half. We just waited around in there.

My goal is to be the first one in line!!! Sorry Sorcerer Mom...:rotfl:

I say we plan a DIS meet for the parking lot at O'dark thirty!!! :rotfl:

We ate at Topsiders last time. Not sure what we will do this time. Probably there again and take the girls to the pools early. It is the only time to use them when they wil NOT be packed!!!

We will be staying in Anaheim the night before. My goal is to be there no later then 10:30 but hopefully by 10:00. Last year we made it at 10:30 in Florida but that was 7:00am west coast time and we flew in the night before, so we were slugs. This year we have no excuse! Sorcerer Mom I have high hopes and am sending pixie dust :wizard: so the DH will be able to go!!!

We ate at Parrot Cay last time after swinging through Rocking D to get Palo Reservations. However all is taken care of with that this time :cool1: So I'm not sure what we will do. I guess we will play it by ear. If it is a cool day- (good old June gloom) we probably will skip Topsiders as DS 4 will only think of the pool. If it is warm- that's where we will be!

I can't believe the count down ticker!!!!

Meeting Day 1
Let me know if everyone wants to try to meet the first day. We are game for that. It would be great to put a name to a face and to be able to recognize each other the rest of the week.

We could either meet up on deck 10 after lunch time or try to all meet for lunch sometime together.

Let me know peoples thoughts/feedback on everything. Also if you are not interested in meeting up that is fine too. I am just a little DIS crazy! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Fish Extender Gifts
I have the spreadsheet completed (with blanks if anyone else wants to join in). I will email it to those who I have personal email addresses for. If I do not have an email address for you then please PM it to me and I will send it over! :thumbsup2 I think I need emails for LVStitch, AirTita, djdj456. Thanks!

If there is a problem with the days assigned or info missing that you would like to add please let me know. We will consider this a "working" worksheet. Once everyone has all of their staterooms numbers and I have made any corrections or additions then I will send a new one out.

OOOOHHHH, IT IS 12:07 Guess what that means???
 42 Days!!!!

Other things I thought of not to miss.... (Might have been mentioned already but just in case)
Tea with Alice
This is something that you will have to pick up tickets for at Guest Services day 1. If you have smaller kids it is fun. It used to be Tea with Wendy and now it is Alice and the Mad Hatter. Get there early....they pick 2 kids to join Alice and the MH at their table! :thumbsup2 This is free but you do need tickets ahead of time.

Martini, Margarita and Wine Tastings
Again things that you need to pick up tickets for ahead of time. This is something that comes at an additional cost. I have heard really good things about this but we never went last time.

Other Misc Items
Mickey Ice Cream Bars are available from Room Service even though they are not on the menu!!! What better then FREE Mickey Ice Cream Bars...:mickeybar

Uncrustable sandwhiches are also available through room service. Those along with some of their other sandwhiches are the perfect item to order the night before an excursion to take along with you as a FREE snack. :thumbsup2

Ok that is all for now....I think!

:drive: :car: :dancer: :car:

What do you mean by "letting you in the area only when you can board?" We got to the port somewhat early but boarding did not start for another hour and half. We just waited around in there.

Sorry I meant check in. They keep you in a holding area until 10:30.

My goal is to be the first one in line!!! Sorry Sorcerer Mom...:rotfl:

popcorn:: Should be interesting...I have a feeling there will be a race in the parking lot to the ship:rotfl2:

What is the "walking tour"???

Usually they give a walking tour of the ship the first day at about 2:30. It just shows where everything is on the ship. And you can ask the Crew members a bunch of questions plus they show you a bunch of secrets on the ships like Hidden Mickeys and Secret Decks

I definitely want to plan a meet, how about in the terminal...although I have feeling it will be in line before we even get into the building:lmao:. The reason I say the terminal is because we will have about 1.5 to 2 hours in there; once we get on the ship we will be running around like crazy especially Sorcerer's Mom since it's her first time on the ship plus it leaves an hour eariler so that give us less time between boarding and sailaway. We could meet after sailaway.

I am just so excited I have never booked a vacation so close to leaving. My sister's wedding is next weekend...after that the suitcases will be coming out and pre-packing will comense.
