I just booked it for our family. This is our first Disney cruise! We have 3 kids--they will be 8, 4 1/2, and 20 months old at the time of the cruise.

I wondered when someone would start a thread, seemed to be lots of people booking on the first day. We will be joining this cruise, after a fun filled Star Wars weekend. It is myself, DH, and DS (8 at time of sailing).

I am sure your family will love the Disney Cruise experience, we have been on one, and going to the Mexican Riveria in March. So this will be #3 for us! My DS is very excited to see the all of the fun activities offered on the Disney Dream.

We'll be there, in room 7506. It will be our first cruise ever and we're SUPER excited! I'm also trying to squeeze in a few days at Disneyworld before or after the cruise. It will be myself, DH and our DD5 and DS3.

alltheparks--our sons will be the same age on the cruise. My DS will turn 8 just a few days before we sail. Have you been to Star Wars Weekend before? My oldest son is a huge Star Wars fan and I'm assuming he still would be in 2012. I vowed we would not go to the parks on this trip and it would just be a cruise-only vacation, but I may have to make an exception.

Miss Daisy, we have never been to Star Wars weekend, and I understand it will be crazy busy. I would have preferred to go a bit earlier in May, but the school schedule didn't allow it. My son and DH are HUGE star wars fans, so we knew we wanted to go to Star Wars Weekend, and thought it would be a great time to check out the Dream. We are not planning on going to all of the parks again, in fact we may visit Kennedy Space Center the Wed / Thurs prior to the cruise, and then spend Friday / Saturday at Hollywood Studios. I am not a big "crowd" person, so I may send the boys to Disney while I hang out at the hotel pool.

We can't be entirely sure of the timing of Star Wars Weekend, but in recent years it has been the last two weekends in May, and the first two weekends in June. I can't possibily imagine my son "outgrowing" star wars by that time, so check out the pictures, and if you have the means and time, you should definately consider adding it to your trip.

It looks like a little (and big) boys, dream come true!

We are booked on this cruise. We are looking forward to stopping at Castaway Cay twice. This will be our 3rd disney cruise and our first 5 day. We have done the 7 day in the past and I hope this won't feel too short. We were planning on going to WDW as well. We would love to go for Star Wars weekend!!!!!! It will be super crowded though.
I see there are a lot of texans here already. Let's all pray Disney decides to start using the port at Galveston soon!!

Another Texan here booked on this cruise! This will be the first cruise for our family. It will be me and my husband along with our two children. DS will be 7 and DD will be 2 1/2 at the time of cruising. We are booked in a Cat 4C. We are very excited about this trip. I'm thinking about adding a two night stay at AKL before the trip.

I'd love it if DCL came to Galveston, but since we are a family of 5 and it would be one of the older ships that would go to Galveston it would probably be more expensive for us to sail out of there since we'd have to get a category 4 or higher. So I have mixed feelings about it.

True, sometimes it is cheaper to get 2 rooms of a lesser cat. We find we are NEVER in our rooms so I really don't care about booking an expensive room. I've had rooms with a balcony before but never have booked them since we had kids and really don't miss them. Won't be long before we can say it is next year. We plan to go to the parks for a few day either before or after. We'll wait to see when they confirm the star wars dates

I'm liking the idea of going to Star Wars Weekend before the cruise. I hadn't thought of that before. We have never done Star Wars weekend. My DS is already a big Star Wars fan and he is only 5. That might change my resort decision from AKL to either YC or BWI so that we can walk or take a boat to DHS. I have plenty of time to decide. This trip seems so far away.

Galveston is less than an hour drive for me. I would be so excited if DCL brings a ship there! I wish they would hurry up and announce what the Magic is doing in late 2012.

We are going to WDW before the cruise. I'm too nervous to fly in the day of the cruise. Airline delays are so unpredictable. I am planning to do a big WDW trip in 2013. For this trip, I am thinking about staying just two nights and spending a day at one park.

Hello All! Right now I'm just a lurker of sorts. We are currently booked for Aug. 15th 2012 cruise however may be moving it up to June 10th 2012. Problem is won't know if we can move it til Nov. 2011 and by then we might not be able to move it. Dilemma, dilemma, dilemma..... Why ado we need to wait you ask? Well we are trying to do Hawaii that summer but use our DVC points and since we don't own there we have to wait 7 mo. out. Cruise will be our backup trip for the summer if Hawaii falls through.

We are booked on this cruise. Kids will be 10 and 7 at time of cruise. Traveling with my sister-in-law and family above (ngneer98). This will be our second Disney cruise. First was in 2007 on the Magic.

Hi everyone! This is our 3rd DCL cruise and we CANNOT wait. That is my hubby and I, the kids do not have a clue the cruise is booked. They have been watching videos of the Dream and bugging when do they get to go. I can't wait to see their faces. We are in for Roll call and FE's.
