Thanks guys!! We had a great time last night too!! Wish it could have been with everyone!! Someday!!!!

why hello there! :goodvibes

nothing new here except our basement! i mean; its not a new basement, but sure looks like one!!! it doesnt have anything in it...and its not really painted...but its still much better than it was!!!

i had dance for only 2 hours today but broken up...inbetween i just did homework. :sad2:

uhhhh...yea so now im gunna go try to find something fun to do....

:grouphug:

I'lll be happy to host a cruise thread get together in Chicago anytime. Come on up! :thumbsup2

Marion--Too bad we can't be there at the same time. We get out later this year b/c of the 3 snow days.

Nana claims she will not go again. She may never go again. I may try to do a trip again in February. She can't take any heat of humidity at all. January is bad for me to take off, but I can save my 2 personal days again & try for February if there are some good deals again. $138 roundtrip was a great fare.

We're getting about $210 roundtrip in June--paying for 2 tickets & using miles for 2 tickets.

We need to find Scott a job where he gets to travel again, not too much, but a little. It's hard to earn tickets just charging for the miles.

Christine--I hope you found something fun to do for your day off.

My basement is in Pinewood Derby assembly line production the last 2 weeks. My 3 boys (yes including DH) are serious about this. Scott runs the show this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

I just want them out so I have room to do :laundy:

Happy Tuesday that will feel like a Monday to most of us! :flower3:

so happy you guys had a wonderfun dinner. what fun that must have been.

yep, Kim, someday we will make it happen

Well we had a stormy Sunday here. All is ok for us here in Montgomery but just north of us about 20 miles was a F3 tornado. The city of Prattville was badly damaged. Several of our church families homes and property were damaged.

Looking forward to calmer weather. . .

Charlene

Hi everyone.... the board has been quiet.

We had an ice/sleet, freezing rain storm here on Thursday morning. I drove to work in the horrible mess and when I get there, John called to tell me that they had cancelled school. It was horrible. It took me an hour to get there and over an hour to get back- usually it is about half that time. We were off again on Friday. Today the sun is out and the slush is melting. Nothing else to post. Hope everyone is well and safe.
Hugs friends!!!:grouphug:

Char--I posted a message to you a few days ago, but it didn't post somehow. I hope your church families are doing better.

Marion--All this ice, sleet, snow, etc. is driving everyone crazy up here. I'm so tired of chopping ice. My hands have been so swollen on & off for the last few weeks that my rings don't fit half the time. I'm sorry you had such a horrible drive. They usually call off school for us about 1.5 to 2 hours before hand so most of us don't get on the road. We're often outside shoveling already, but I've never had it called off while I was on the way. That would stink.

Liam turned 11 :bday: on Thursday but didn't get to celebrate party: until today. On Thursday, he had a bball game after school, then we had to eat quick & do finishing touches on giant paper he had written that was due Friday. Last night was Pinewood Derby set up.

For his b-day party party: he decided he wanted to spend the night at a new waterpark hotel & take only his 2 BFF. We can't do it until April.

Liam was 1st in the Weeblo IIs and.........PACK CHAMPION! :yay: :cool1:  :yay: :cool1:  :yay: :cool1:  :yay: :cool1:

His car was the fastest car out of about 40 cars.

Patrick took 2nd in the Wolves.

This is a REAALLLYY big deal in our house.

We took him to Benihanna for dinner to celebrate b-day, Pinewood Derby, and his was asked to move up in band to the bass clarinet.

Now he has a friend sleeping over & I just want to sleep so bad. I just made them stop playing Guitar Hero III :rockband: & now they're watching a movie in the dark, but noone's falling asleep yet. I think I'm cutting them off at 10:30. We have to meet 2 BFF families at 9:00 a.m. mass

It's been so long since I've been here, I can't even find my last post!

I gotta figure out photobucket so you can see the SLOWWWWW progress of our basement. If anyone has tips or suggestions for finishing a basement, please let me know! There is drywall dust everywhere in this house.:crazy2:
We have decided to try to get a bathroom in the laundry room. It's big enough - 13x9. What do you all think of using a potty while the dryer is running? (Door CAN be closed & locked.):laundy:

Marion & Kim, how wonderful for you all to get together for dinner! I agree with Kay... someday! :flower3:

Marion, Stacy & Paul looked adorable - great job getting pictures posted! princess:

Mary, thanks for the summary of your trip with Nana. It gave me goosebumps and teary eyes - such a memory you have created! :goodvibes

Char, we went to Playa Mia on our cruise last summer. :beach: It was a very nice place. It's one of those trip memories that will always stay with me - Christine & I sitting at a table, with our feet up, fan blowing on us, looking at that incredible ocean, eating the best guacamole ever... :cloud9:

I missed wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day - so belated <3pixiedust: to you all! Tom was out of town. We had both made cards for each other and hidden them where the other couldn't find it.:rotfl2: We both emailed pictures of Valentine's things... I guess your REALLY do start to think alike after so many years!:lovestruc

CONGRATULATIONS & HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LIAM!!!:cool1:
WAY TO GO, PATRICK!!!:cheer2:

Gotta go finish taping off for more basment walls for painting! Yippie!

:grouphug:

Dee-- Welcome back. Don't feel bad about not know how to do pictures. I always forget & have trouble. I wish I could post some from Nana's trip, but....
Drywall dust stinks. We always tape multiple plactice doorways to try to trap the dust. You can also buy the special allerge filters for your heater & and for the vents. The vent type stay on my magnetic strips. I use this anyway for my allergies & I'm always amazed how much gets caught. You could also consider renting or buying air purifiers to use throughout the house to capture some of the dirt.

Good luck.

Hi everyone! Did you guys read that the Contemporary Kingdom Tower has applied for a time share license. It looks like the DVC rumors are finally coming true.

Hey guys!! Hope all are well.

Ok..just want to let you know how silly we are....We leave for Spring Break (St. Pete BEach) late Sat mar. 22nd. Tom and Em are now driving to Chicago on Fri. to see the Avril Lavigne concert Fri. night and then driving home Sat right before we leave on Sat.!!!!! Silly....but she loves Avril and she isn't coming to St. LOuis.

Have a great one...I wish it would finally get warm!! I'm tired of winter!!

Where's the concert at?

Why don't you & Brian come w/ to visit your friends near Chicago?

I know....someone has to stay home to pack....but just think about it. I'm sure we could find some fun things for the boys & the Moms to do on Friday.

If it's at the Allstate Arena--that's about 15-30 minutes from our house depending on traffic. I can also teach them a back route to get there to avoid the expressway madness.

I can't complain about winter b/c I had that nice little break to WDW, but the students are soooo crabby, I can't wait for Spring Break.

Take care everyone!

That would be great but you are right ...I will be packing. Plus we have 2 dogs we can't leave overnight. That would have been fun but a very short trip. Talk to you soon. Have a great day everyone!!!!

Good Morning ALL!

Nothing much happening here. . .DH is VERY busy with work and DD is busy with school project. . .I'm hanging in there!

Have a great Thursday!

Charlene

HI EVERYONE ------------------

Sorry I have been slack on posting.

I am home and not going anywhere.

I need catarac surgery. Can't see too clearly anymore or to drive alone for any long distance. So I have had to cancel some activities that were in the works. But that's OK - I have been feeling like an Eveready Battery these past couple of months.

But that's OK - am tired of going places ---------- too run down to do anything. Can't get sick again - don't have the $$'s to put out.

So, am planning on getting the eye(s) fixed very soon.

Then a few other surgeries that shouldn't be posted in writing.

Also, trying to get some insurance conflicts straightened out. Medicare and insurance and gap insurance is awful to work with. UGH !!!!!

Still working at the hospital (volunteer) for about 3-4 mornings a week. That ais actually fun and I enjoy it.

HAPPY LEAP DAY TO EVERYONE - I could have been a Leap Baby. Guess I lucked out.

I have my Germany trip coming up in June and hopefully I don't have to cancel. I did take out insurance on that one.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVERYONE THAT I FORGOT

- definitely not intentional

I am hoping that I can meet up with some of you at WDW this summer.

That would be awesome

Guess I rambled a little, sorry - off to watch Good Morning America and read the paper in bed now

who posted about the Contemporary??? well -

maybe you want to eee this - might have already seen it.

I won't be buying points there - why, when we can stay there anyways, just as the other resorts. I sold one of my VWL contracts already last month and have another one up for resale also. I don't need 700 points a year.

HI EVERYONE ------------------

Did anyone notice these phrases in Kay's post??

It doesn't sound like the Kay we know..... ;)

Kay--I'm sorry you are feeling run down. I'm sorry about your cataract surgeries. My Mom actually wants her cataract in her one eye to get worse. They won't remove it until it's really bad. She's been waiting for 4 years & it stays about the same--very annoying.

Germany trip???

Leap Baby? Was yesterday your b-day or is it tomorrow? Happy :cake: !

We'll be at WDW June 11th - 17th if you want to get together. We're staying at VWL.

I am the one who posted about the Contemp, but I don't want to buy there I'm worried about the rumors that DVC might be trying to create a 2nd tier of ownership at "nicer" resorts. I'm not a Contemp fan, but I want to still have the option to stay at other resorts on points w/o them becoming a different level of membership. Just a fear/rumor.... see the DVC Op boards.

I wish we could afford to buy at AKL, so we could guarantee getting in there w/ an 11 mo window. It's Scott & the boys favorite resort.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

thanks for calling, Mary.

It was good talking to you.

Hope everyone has a great day.

My DD's and their families are taking me out to dinner this evening

hey everyone!

nothing is new here...my birthday is sunday...the next weekend after im going to an indoor waterpark with my friend for my birthday! =] YAY

hope everything is going great for you all!

Hi everyone!
It was 78 degress here yesterday and tonight they are predicting a horrible snow storm- may be from 5-8 inches, we'll see. i just hope if it hits, it does it before I have to drive to work.

Poor Emme:sick: has the flu she went to the doctor on Thursday and the flu test came back within a minute positive. Poor thing she feels terrible. A day off would be great, she has missed a bunch and it would be great to not have her get any farther behind.

We are off on our cruise in less than 3 weeks now:woohoo: . With all of this winter weather, it is really giving me something to look forward to!

Happy birthday to all of our late February and early March birthdays. Hope they are wonderful for each of you!:flower3:

Take care, talk to you later!
