Yes, they come UPS... but if you booked thru a TA, the TA gets them and then calls you, so it takes a few more days.
Let me know if you need the name tag Vertical or Horizontal.
Our group will be wearing Lime Green shirts... so we should be easy to spot...and ANY bright green color is close enough, and while we are on the subject, this color does not do much for anyone. I'd like to know who picked it as the official color for the DIS. :confused3

I love Lime Green......

We are actually wearing it to dinner the fist night!!!!!

WHOO HOO!!!!!!!

getting excited!!!!!!

ADCOHA...
Do you have a stateroom number yet?
I'm making a DIS navigator for us so we will know where to go to leave our Fish Extender Gifts.

Yes. Its #8538. We are getting very excited. Still trying to get something together for the gifts. And all we are exchanging at the Scoops/Goofy's Galley thing is postcards, right?

Love the neon green thing since hubby's favorite car is that color. Long story...will send picture soon.

Mendoza5, thank you for the private message but I cannot reply until I have posted 10 times. Silly little hurdle. Don't have agent but have heard that you can get better prices calling direct (better than the on-line even). I did not test the waters....a little late now that its all a done deal.

Thanks for all the information...

Our docs say that we MUST LEAVE port at 4:15pm.
Anyone not on board by 4pm will not be allowed on.

And the safety drill is at 3pm...
so we do need to change our DIS meet ... any suggestions?
I say 1:30 at Scoops... that way we have at least an hour to do our Meet and Greet  before the Safety Drill.

1:30 is fine with us.

But I don't understand how the drill could be at 3:00 when everyone is not on board? How are the people that get on board after 3:00 supposed to know were to go? They don't do it the same as Florida I guess.

I will change on the First Post.

Yes, exchanging the postcards on the first day.
Are you interested in the Scrap Exchange?
Can't wait to see that picture of your DH's car.

I think 1:30 is too early. If the last two cruises I went on are any indication, we might not even be on the boat by then!

Also, when I get on the boat, I want to eat lunch! We have main dinner so I don't want to eat late!

What time is the sail-away party? Anyone know?

Last year we met at the sail-away party, missed the disboard meeting my first cruise as the boarding was late due to a bomb threat at the terminal. Ahh. It was awful. We could only get on the boat at 3 p.m. and had about half hour to eat something quick before the drill.

How about 2:00. That will give us at least 1/2 hour before the drill?

BOMB THREAT?!! :scared1: How awful...
I wonder if it wasn't called in by a late passenger... making sure the boat wouldn't leave :rotfl:
I totally understand about wanting to eat lunch first...
I just assumed that everyone would arrive there at the "crack" like ME! :lmao:
What ever time everyone thinks is good for me...
If anyone misses the meet, you can get your Navigator from me at my stateroom # 6309 almost the FRONT of the ship on deck 6.

i'll be there at the "crack" :lmao:
has anyone ever met after the boat drill? anytime is fine, i know that we are going to eat when we get on. i am printing my packing list so i can work on it in my meeting.
have a great day everyone.

I love that you do cruise stuff during meetings...:lmao:

Judging by the times... I think we have to do it before...
I would think that Sail Away is probably right after the drill...
Then it will be dinner time for the Main Dining time people.

The bomb threat was actually some fertilizer residue found in a bag at the terminal. It caused many delays and no one could enter the terminal for hours. They were in the baking sun with no information, washrooms, water.

Lucky for us we were on a DCL bus and had airconditioning. But we were starving.

Of course there was a backlog to get registered when they finally let us in the terminal.

They gave out free water finally, but it was warm. The worst thing was the lack of information, no one knew what was happening!

I believe some people got severly dehydrated and sun burnt.

It was an awful start to the cruise. DCL didn't delay anything, (party, safety procedure) the food places were packed, and they still closed at the appointed time. I thought in the circumstances, they should have delayed everything but 30 minutes, but nope!

Not a good start, but after that, the cruise went without a hitch.

Hey, DGma wants to know if she is allowed on before we set sail. She is not sailing with us....does anyone know the rules about it or not?

Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

Scrap Exchange??? I am such a newbie! What is a scrap exchange?

Also, I have an idea for a fish extender but its one big pocket for the entire family. I will have each of the kids in a porthole. Do gifts usually go to the entire family or should I make each of the kids their own pocket?
