Jumping January Exercise Challenge

60 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes core strength training.

Up to 1116/1600. Getting there!

Just caught up on his thread. The past week and a half has been crazy for me. I ran the Louisiana 1/2 and loved it. I ended with a time of 2:46 so for a week after the goofy challenge I was happy with that. Any runners looking for a race around Baton Rouge, be sure to run it. It was great and the after party the best I've been to. Add to that a couple of 45 min elliptical workouts, and 3- 30 min morning runs. Two days after Baton Rouge my DH and I took off to the woods for a few days of hunting, which includes lots of walking and tree climbing, but I'm not counting that (not sure how to do that). We leave for the woods after work tomorrow for one last weekend of hunting before the season ends. I have a video exercise program my DD gave me for Christmas that I hope to try next month. I'll be out of connectivity for the rest of the month so I'll not be able to check in again this month. See everyone next month.

And thanks dizzyr for keeping us on track this month and being so encouraging! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

You're welcome! I feel like I wasn't a very good hostess this month as it was so busy. Once I got everyone updated I ran out of time to post anything else so I'm looking forward to being more chatty again in Feb :)

If no one else can do Feb, ill host it. I am going to be crazy busy in the middle of the month but I should be able to update often enough. But if anyone else wants it, I can do another month instead.

Woohoo thanks so much for taking it on :)

Did 40 minutes of yoga yesterday morning before work. My hours this week are from 12-7 so that gives me time in the mornings after the kids go to school to work out. Today I will be doing strength training and posting more minutes. I really underestimated what my goal for the month should be. Next week is tech week, and the show is at the end of the week (Friday and Saturday night). Despite missing a 10-hour rehearsal on Tuesday for the snow day (we're on regents week here in NY so no classes this week, rehearsals from 9-7 for the kids with a faculty advisor there for the morning portion), the kids are still slowly ahead of schedule for their shows. Before Tuesday they were way ahead of schedule but I'm very pleased with their hard work. Everything is looking and sounding great!

Next week is my really crazy week. Classes begin again on Tuesday and we will be in tech week too. That means 12-hour work days for me including being back to teaching 5 classes again. Next Thursday is dress rehearsal and that's when the two teams competing against each other get to watch each other's shows. They haven't seen anything from each other's shows yet, except the backdrop that's being painted in the auditorium. Dress rehearsal is always exciting and both teams have always been supportive of each other's shows. It's really amazing to see such terrific sportsmanship among teens. I'm so proud of them! :)

Despite all the crazy schedules and work, I really love this. I'm happy to do the work for it and put in the time to see the results we get. On top of everything, and what counts the most in my opinion, this is such an amazing learning experience for our students. Most of the time they do things like this, they don't even realize how much they're truly learning life lessons from the experience, and that itself is priceless!

Catching my total up from the last few days- 65 min of p90x3 - 865/930

had to go out of town for a funeral and then came home to DS w a stomach bug. Is the week over yet?! I completely fell off my diet the last three days. I simply cannot handle upheaval and diets at the same time.

Two - or Three more days people! We can do this! :)

790/620.

I feel great, only drink one can of pop a day, and started eating lunch at work instead of waiting until after work at 3pm. I don't see 'great' results on the scale but my shirts are definitely less tight around the hips.

21 minute lunch break walk for me.
