Jumping January Exercise Challenge

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time doing this. This makes me have to own up to what I have to do. How often should we post, everytime or once or twice a week? Good luck everyone.

60/600 (twice at 30 minutes on a stationary bike)
Tomorrow I am going to do Biggest Loser workout, during the mornings and alternate with Yoga. This is so I don't get bored.

Happy January!!

Updated up to here! What a great turnout we have for January :) To all the newcomers :welcome:

I'm so excited to be back to walking and the pool tomorrow - I've been a slug for too long.

Here's a quote to get you all motivate

Cowards Never Start
The Weak Never Finish
Winners Never Quit.

Let's Do this!!!!

Everyone posts differently. Some people post every day, or whenever they have a chance. Some people share what they did for their minutes some don't. So it's totally up to u! I personally post right after I finish working out. It's nice to have a place to go and you know everyone will be cheering for you that you did it. Or when u don't feel like it, a simple shout out here will get you lots of motivational posts too. Good luck on your January exercise challenge. You can do it!

Just finished my workout for the day. I have a love hate relationship w working out in the mornings. I love that it's done and I sometimes think my actual workouts are better in the morning. I know I run better in the morning vs after work because my fueling and energy is better. But I'm not a morning person so I have a really hard time getting my butt out of bed. And I do feel a little more tired throughout the day after. But at least it's done.

Happy Monday everyone!

Your preference. I usually post at the end of days I've done my exercising, so as not to forget my daily total.

I'm in!! I think I will make my goal 1000

so after my workout today I am at 45/1000

75/500

I did 20 minutes of HIIT and 10 minutes of abs today. We had our first rehearsal today and it went really well! I got out of work at 5:00 and came right home and worked out while I had an empty house. DH was working late (he's the athletic director of a high school and had a wrestling match to supervise), and both boys were at Hebrew school until 6:15 so I actually got a workout in today! I'm trying to keep up with exercise as much as I can this week because this is the only week rehearsals end early (5:00). Next week they run until 6, the week after until 6:30, and then my hours change to 12-7pm during Regents week, then tech week when classes resume, rehearsals run until 8:00. Regents week I'll try to manage morning workouts after the boys go to school. We shall see. It will depend on my energy and stress levels. I'm taking a full recovery week during my tech week, when I will be working 12+ hour days.

75 minute awesome yoga class. Nothing like a nice hot yoga class when it's only 10 degrees outside!

bangzoom6877 -I'm glad you're feeling better!

Too cold to run outside, so I jumped on the treadmill for a bit for the first time in a long, long time. I'm still not a big fan, but they do come in handy when it's icy outside and there are miles to get done.

Just got back inside from a 9 mile run...outside...it is about 20°F out. Brr! I would rather run on the treadmill but I have to train out in the cold. I have 6 weeks until the event!!

87 minutes tonight

Is it too late to join? If not, my goal is 1200 minutes for the month :) Although it will be middle to end of the week before I get to start since I'm out with the flu!

40 minutes treadmill. I hate the treadmill and feel like a bit of a wimp for not running outside in this weather BUT I heard one of ladies in my running group slipped on black ice this morning and broke her hand, ouch! So the treadmill it is!

Not to late to join - I'll add you in :)

I have minutes to report, I have minutes to report!!! It feels like it's been so long LOL!

I did 90 minutes in the pool last night (aquafit and walking the river) and again this morning for 60 minutes. Yeah Me!

I've updated everyone to here - we are looking like a sea of blue!! We are almost at the 10% mark as a team, it won't take much to bump us over it. I might go for a walk at lunch to get myself over the 10% - I wanna be Team Blue too!

So a question for everyone - Do you set New Years Resolutions? If so what are they this year?

I don't usually set them - instead I pick a word for the year to be my goal and motivation. One year it was "better" because I just wanted things to be the same but a little bit better. That year was much much better (even more than I planned!) so my next years word was "adventure" and we finally made our first trip to Disney since we had the kids and went on a bunch of mini vacations. Last year I can't remember what my word was so I clearly didn't follow it LOL! This year my word is going to be "Active" - I just want to get out there and get moving.

I'm officially in taper for this weekend but I did workout in the gym (less than usual) and ran a light workout yesterday morning. I leave on Thursday and I am so ready to get started on this race weekend.
The pool workouts sounds so interesting.
