Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

Sorry I haven't updated yet. My boss has our clients tape conversations with their spouses, ex-spouses, significant others, etc. in order to help them with their cases. If they bring the tapes into the office instead of typing them themselves, I get paid $35 an hour to transcribe them...on my boss' time and in addition to my regular pay. Heck yeah! I've had three tapes come in this week alone and I've been a transcribing fool. The conversations aren't that long but I certainly don't turn away the extra money.

I'm just about finished with the last tape so I may be able to get an installment posted today. Hang in there....I promise one is coming up soon.

That is awesome about the transcribing!!! :woohoo: I Sooo wish I could type. I type about 6 words a minute. :lmao:

I agree with April, it is great that you can get extra money. That is one thing I love about my job too. If I want/need extra money I can just schedule myself to do some of the pet sitting visits and get paid for them in addition to my office hours.

Looking forward to the next update, whenever you are able to get it done! :goodvibes

I am fianly caught up on your trip report! It has been a crazy week! I know I have said this 100 times.. but your trip reports just put me in the mood for Disney!! Good thing were leaving in 3 weeks!! I will be in your neck of the woods on the 12th...have to go to Monroe for a work thing!

I don't have a clue how many words per minute I can type but it's pretty fast. I always say I don't have a special talent but I can type real fast. :lmao:

You won't see me turning down any extra moolah. My old boss' wife used to own a pet sitting service. She'd go to the peoples' house and feed, water and walk their dogs while they were on vacation. It was cheaper than paying to kennel their pets.

You've had a lot on your plate lately and I am sure you are more than pleased with the way things turned out. You know I've said more than one prayer for you and your family.

Just three weeks until you are back at WDW! I know that you are more than ready to leave the "real" world and get back to THE World.

Be careful making the road trip over to Monroe. Oh and don't forget that some of the on and off ramps on I-20 are closed on the weekends here now. And, the Louisville Bridge is undergoing repairs on the weekends too. I can't remember for how long but I am thinking it was for at least a few more weeks.

Thats a lot of money right there! Have you made the page on facebook for your bag making buisness yet?

I'm working with limited pictures here people so please understand when I say something like "I don't remember what we did next" or "from what I remember......" I know for a fact that I have more pictures of our morning but, for the life of me, I can't find them. Darn Photobucket! And, as I said before, taking pictures with more than one camera while on vacation also adds to the unorganization of my pictures. On our next trip, I am going to take the laptop with me and put my pictures on it every night. Maybe that will help me keep things organized. :confused3

In my search for the "rest" of my Hollywood Studios pictures, I found a couple that I took while in the queue for Rock N Rollercoaster:

Anyway, I left off with us walking down the street and me taking not so great pictures of Lacey and Hunter over my head. It was too hard to simply turn around and take decent pictures.

If I am remembering correctly (there I go ;)), we started towards the spot where we found Darth Vader the year before. We zigged and zagged through the hoards of Star Wars Weekend crowds to get to our destination. Luckily, the line wasn't all that long and we hopped in. I took these while we waited:

Before too long, it was Hunter's turn to take a picture with that ever so popular heavy breathing man...alien...whatever he is...dude, Darth Vader (I told you I don't know a thing about Star Wars. :sad2:)

After the meet and greet, we continued on until we saw signs for other Star Wars characters. Hunter saw that the line for Boba Fett wasn't long so we got in line with the rest of the fans. As we were standing there, we looked around at the crowds and the details of the buildings. I took this one because you can clearly see that the outside is nothing but a fascade:

It's Hunter's turn:

Umm, excuse me, Mr. Fett, you really need to get another outfit and helmet. Your's has scratches all over it. :lmao:

There were other characters in the area but their lines were long so Hunter opted not to stand in line any more. We walked down to Pixar Place where we entered the crowds around Toy Story Mania:

No way Jose' were we getting in a line with a 90 minute wait! I like Toy Story Mania and all but I don't like it that much. So, what were we going to next? Let's just say that what happened next was the inspiration for my trip report title. ;)

Awesome photos!!! Tell Hunter I am JEALOUS of his t-shirt- I want one!
I don't blame you for not waiting 90 minutes for TSM- I wouldn't wait that long, either. I really can't wait to hear what inspired your TR title!

I am definitely not opposed to make some extra money on the side and $35 an hour is good money to me! I have put some items on Facebook under Mickeystoontown Flair but haven't gotten them all on there yet.

I think we got that shirt at Kohl's for under $10.00. There's no way we were going to wait 90 minutes for TSM. It's not worth it to me.

Wow! What a great picture of Hunter with Bobo fett! All you pictures turned out great and I enjoyed the ones from inside RnR!

My pictures are always all out of order, too. Do you use that organize feature on photobucket. That helps me a lot and I didn't even know it was there for a long time!

First of all how is John doing in weaning off his meds? Now I have a question for John and its about those blue lights disney has and those flashing toys that the kids have. What I want to know does it bother him if he looks at the bright color blue and those seizure causing toys? The color blue hurts my eyes and those flashing light toys causes me to get migraine if I don't look away. It can also make me dizzy. Has he had any problems at disney those flashing lights?

I LOVE the Darth Vadar and Boba Fett pictures. I'm a little bit of a sci-fi nerd :yoda:

The longest I waited for TSMM was 40 minutes. I was lucky to only have to wait in the stand-by line once, the other three times I rode it were with Fastpasses.

Hunter was glad that he got to meet Boba Fett. Last year, he met the actor who was the real Boba Fett in the movies.

I organize my pictures on Photobucket using the organize feature but I have to different brands of cameras so they are all out of whack. I really should do better at organizing them.

Aww, you are so sweet to ask about John. He is doing very well right now. Most mornings, he wakes up pretty dizzy and a bit wobbly. But that will usually wear off after he takes his morning meds. Thankfully, his boss doesn't mind him coming in an hour or two later than the rest. (He was injuried on the job while working for this same employer many many years ago.) We go back to the doctor on the 16th of this month and we'll start weaning him off one of the other meds. I'm sure they will add something to what he is now taking in order to combat taking him off the other.

John has always done pretty well with the lights and colors at Disney. I remember when Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin first opened. We were afraid that the flashing lights would bother him so I went on it first to see what it was like. The only time he ever feels "funny" is when we are on the section where the stars are all around you and he doesn't feel it every time. It's the same way on Space Mountain in the section where the red lights are all around you.

If he ever does feel odd (the doctors call it an aura), he can usually just close his eyes until we get through that section.

Every once in a while, the loud noises or spinning will make him feel a bit off but not very often.

His doctors have prescribed Ativan for when his face starts twitching or tingling. Those are his warning signs before seizures. We put one Ativan under his tongue and it usually makes the symptoms go away. Having said that, he hasn't had a full blown seizure in over 10 years. He has, however, had quite a few petite seizures where he doesn't lose full control and is aware of his surroundings. Those Ativans are fabulous and we keep them on us at all times.

If the wait were 40 minutes, I'd probably get in line hoping that it would be shorter than posted. But, with a 90 minute time posted, there was no way I was getting in that line.

Love the pictures of Hunter and Darth and Bobo. Your comment about the scratched helmet is TOO funny!!! :rotfl2: Next thing you know, you'll be asking Darth if he needs an inhaler.

Nice cliffhanger- can't wait to hear the story that inspired your title.

I know little about Star Wars as well so don't feel too bad. As a matter of fact I would have thought Fett (?) really did need a spruce up! :lmao:

That 90 minute wait would have been much better than our 130 min wait! But I still am not standing in a 90 min line! 45 minutes would be where I draw the line for that ride!

Congrats on the new car. How exciting. Mine is getting old and a lot of miles...but I love it so. I will be sad when it comes time to replace her.

I have 2 email accounts and have only received pins in one. I have gotten some in the mail over the years but never any I can use. I think since they extended free dining date till DEc. their numbers must be down. You will probably see an offer after the first of the year. Also we never see a bounceback in our room! What's up with that too.

Rumor has it that the numbers a way down and that they even took away some rooms from the deal because they aren't filling....all rumors of course.

I too get dizzy and sick on my stomach when I come to that section of that ride. I have meneries disease and watching fast movement, spinning, bright lights and spinning lights causes me to walk into walls . Spaceship Earth at EPCOT really gets to me. I have to keep my eyes closed alot. Does limit my salt intake . I have been doing better, but my migraine have went to another route I have auras and visual problems. So see I feel your pain too that day you had your migraines. It use to put me down for days, but now I take my meds and I am doing better except for the visual , but you learn what to do and just go on. Thank you for filling me in on John and I hope he will soon get the correct meds and don't have to take so many. All anyone who has these problems just one day be normal, at least thats the way I feel.

I'm also glad to hear that John is doing well. Seizure disorder is tough to live with because the meds used to control it can have so many side effects. I personally think Ativan is a wonder drug. Technically it is an anti-anxiety medication (and it's great for that) but it also will prevent an oncoming seizure, stop a seizure in process and it treats nausea caused by chemotherapy. Just a wonderful medication as far as I'm concerned!
