June 4: 60 min walking; 15 min weights

Sometimes I do group fitness at my gym and the classes are HIIT based. Sometimes when I don't feel like leaving the house I look up HIIT training on pop sugar YouTube. They are all free and have TONS of workouts! Try doing weights for your "low" or "off" drill and doing something low impact like lunges or squats for your "high" drill, just do them faster. Hope that made sense lol! Hope you find a good program! Is turbo fire a Shawn T program?

Turbo fire is a Chalene Johnson program. Also through Beach Body. I also use the Slim Series workouts (Debbie Siebers) for resistance and cardio combined, on days in between. I used to do Turbo Fire full out, but the low impact modified version but 6 months after, I ended up with a badly herniated disk in my neck and had surgery. Before the surgery, the pain was so intense in my right shoulder and arm that I wanted to cut my arm off...nothing relieved it, it was crazy. I couldn't sleep and I was miserable. It was instant relief from that pain when I woke up from the surgery. I did physical therapy for a couple of months, and my physical therapist said the bending and all the punching from the Turbo fire workouts were no good for me, and most likely contributed to my condition, especially since I was only 33 when that happened (it was April 2011). So he taught me ways to modify the workouts because I really love the music in them, but I'm not supposed to punch anymore...so I modify the arm movements and I also don't bend. I stay upright with correct posture. Honestly, I wear a heart rate monitor and my heart rate goes up just as much as it did when I did the punching and the bending. I'm just glad I could still work out regularly because I enjoy it very much! For a few years before Turbo fire, I was a big fan of Turbo Jam as well...Chalene Johnson's first program. It was also a lot of fun, and sometimes I will break out one of those DVDs as well for a regular cardio workout. But again, with modifications. They're not as intense as Turbo fire but still a great workout.

210 mins of cleaning

I clean a 11,000 sq home and it takes me 3.3-4.5 hours depending on how messy it was when I start lol. I wear a heart rate monitor and today I burned 1,610 calories!!!! So just letting y'all know incase you weren't sure if you should count cleaning as exercise , you defiantly should!! Hope everyone had a good day!

Maybe this will inspire me to clean more often! Haha I do just fine (small house in Brooklyn, NY), but I never considered counting it as my exercise. I will have to do the same and wear my heart rate monitor and see how many calories I burn! Now I'm really curious about that.

A combination of walking, strength training and some trail running.

I never thought about it until one day when I finished I saw I was sweating so much, like I always do when I clean there, and I thought I bet this is a good workout lol! Turns out it is! It's pretty cool to get paid to burn that many cals lol! It motivates me to clean my own house more often too!
