Jumpin' June Exercise Challenge--Everyone Welcome!

Well, did a 35 min run last night half in my new shoes (not good, have to take them back) and now my left knee - my GOOD knee is tender. NO! I cannot develop an injury on that knee. Everything else on my is healing (except my usual bad right knee). But I really can't afford my left knee to go. I guess ice, some rest, and Aleve and some praying! Anyone have a suggestion of how long I should rest to try to avoid tendinitis developing further? (and when I say rest I mean, small amounts of running every 3 days but no strenuous lower body strength - learned the hard way on the right knee not to rest completely or too long or the muscle will atrophy and will all feel worse)

670/800

Also- had a dream about the wine and dine last night. I finished, easily, in 1:51. That is insane for me. I was convinced I missed half the course somewhere. Seriously, I ran it in 2:51 last year!

They're useless. Something as simple as how much water you've had to drink or salt from food can alter the results. You'd be better off using one of the online calculators which do estimates from abdominal measurements.

Displacement and DEXA scans are about the only tests really worth anything.

That's what I always heard...the displacement method being the most accurate.

Thanks Plutobaby - so.... I don't think my issues are IT band related, but just out of curiosity - how long did the foam rolling thing take before it stopped hurting like BLEEP!?

Maybe it's time I finally find a chiropractor too.... Between last years neck issues, this year's shoulder issue, and now my left knee joining my right knee in the City of Tendinitis in Bad Knee Land..... perhaps I need at least an evaluation. My MIL swears by her chiro (but she lives in another state)

Everybody's out of town in one of my walking groups, so those minutes are gone! Gotta do something else the rest of the week to stay on track! I didn't count picking strawberry minutes yesterday, but at times I felt like I should! They are so yummy; it was worth all that bending! :cloud9:

710/900

45-minutes gardening/hoeing/weeding

30-minute Leslie Sansone Walk Strong

**Yeah, I'm purple!!** :banana::banana::banana:

527/1000

Adding 41 minutes of walking a fitness trail with exercises & 18 minutes of trail walking by the lake.

Thanks :)

Medical tent at the marathon on sunday was so much fun. I really enjoyed helping out. Lots of ice, sore knees, hips, blisters etc. Had a few we had to start IV's on and only sent one to the hospital from the tent.

I got there early so was able to help at bag check and did tons of walking.

It was really fun to see people before they ran and then afterwards as they came through the chute past the medical tent. I had several ask me "didn't you take my bag at bag check?" Yep that's me the multi talented person.

Between the walking on sunday, stairs at work Monday and tues and the bike and running today I am at:

1160/1800

354/750

20 mins weights at the gym.

Got stopped to talk to a friend. Not a bad distraction at all but wished I could have worked longer. Oh well! My fault for not picking it back up.
