Hi, We are visiting WDW in July (16th to 30th), and would like to dine at Sci Fi. Would anyone know whether we should book it now or wait til we arrive?

Considering WDW is almost booked solid for July, I would suggest that you make any ADR's that you want right now and not wait. I was there at the end of April, Epcot was as empty as I have ever seen it, and Biergarten was turning people away at the door! Dining has become extremely hard to do as a walk-in. Now, I will say that for Sci-Fi, you probably won't have a problem. But, if you know you want to eat there and on what day, approximate time - make the ADR now and avoid disappointment and a long wait.

Thanks for that. Have you any other suggestions for somewhere 'quirky' to eat? DH does not like 'hot' food, and I am vegetarian, so we need something to suit !!

We always go in July, and I've witnessed many a family turned away because they didn't have an ADR and just walked up hoping to get in. By all means figure out all of your ADR's, and make them now! About a week before you leave, call back and double check that the ADR's you made are confirmed. If your staying on property, when you get there, at check-in have them printout a listing of your ADR's for you to use.

I am going in July and have had numerous ADR's since about Feb., although I've changed them several times ;) I made ADR's for July 26 at Sci-Fi just today. DD6 and I will be there at 11:40 :thumbsup2

Yes make the ADR. We went last July and would have been turned away without an ADR. We are going again this July and have made ADR's. You can always cancel if you decide to do something else but getting in without an ADR can mean long waits or eating counter service.

I'm pretty much the same as Kimkarli--But I have to add when I went to change mine because of a flight change I was unable to get the time I wanted because they were full so now were just going to go in wolf down our food and go!

Make the ADR for sure. I just called for Ohana in July and had to take a much later time than what I wanted - they were pretty booked up. :)
