July or October . . .Help Me Decide

I'd choose October! First, you'll have less crowds, and the weather won't be so hot!

I've been to WDW in both August and the first week of November. If I were you, I would choose October. But that's only because humidity really bugs me and I don't like crowds all that much. If the heat and excessive crowds don't bother you, I'd choose July.

Definitely October. You can ride more attractions in the shorter park hours of October than you can in the longer summer hours. We went in late September and the park was empty. We could walk on to anything (except Dumbo) without a wait. It was fantastic! You can spend the after park hours at Downtown Disney and Epcot will still be open later. Also, the miniature golf courses stay open later.

One thing about October...the conventions. We've found October to be busier than September, and with the shortened hours you really need to plan out your schedule.

That said, October still beats the summer months hands down. We are still able to go to the beach for a few days and its not too cold or too hot. Where we really see the reduction in crowd size is at the beach (St. Pete.) Mostly just the locals and a few families!

My first post!!
Just last night we were trying to decide when to go back to Disney--June or October 2004. In 2002 and 2003 we went the first/second week of June. There were crowds, but can't really compare it to anything. I think we've been swayed to try October!! We're thinking of Oct. 5-12...Does anyone know if MNSSHP will be going on that early in the month? Thanks.

Welcome to the boards Hellochum, I believe they do start the MNSSHP in the beginning of October.....

as for my opinion....definitely October...lines are way shorter so you still get to do as much as if the park was open 3 hours later, cause you aren't standing in lines so long. Whatever you decide have a great time!!!!!

July. I enjoy the summers with the longer hours and felling like there is much, much more to do.

Another vote for July! We are going back for our 3rd summer trip this year. I've also been there off-season and the lines are defianately shorter and the crowds are lighter--but we enjoy the longer hours and beleive it or not-- the heat-it makes the pools that much more refreshing-not to mention Splash Mountain, Kali River Rapids and the water parks.
