July Magic Kingdom hours and AK EEH

It looks like most of the year Magic Kingdom had their extended hours on Wednesdays all year but in July it switches to being at AK.

Do you know why MK isn’t doing it in July?

If you have done AK EEH how is it? We aren’t doing park hoppers and I am unsure of what to do now that I noticed that.

Speculation is that evening hours won't be back in MK until after the new year.

In the past, they've moved away Sept-Dec during party season. This year, the speculation is that the shift is happening earlier because of the incoming night parade and the way that will impact evening crowd flow at that park.

As to whether it's worth it worth it to do when you don't have hoppers: presumably you were going to do an AK day, yes? I would line that up with the day they have evening hours so that you can use the benefit. I haven't done them myself but others have said that everything is pretty much a walk on during that time. Start over at Everest/Dinosaur to give the end of day FoP line time to die down and then make your way into Pandora at dark.

Thank you. I am just bummed because I wanted the later MK hours to avoid the heat of the day. We will still to AK and use your suggestion to start at Everest.

Do you know if the new MK night parade is just for summer? We are going back between Xmas and new years and I wonder if it will still be around then? Its hard to keep track of everything.

Yeah was quite disappointed to see this.
Not worth the perk when AK is only open until 6pm and then oh whoopy you can stay until 8pm.

It hasn't been marketed as a limited time offering, so I'd assume it'll be around for a while.

That said, I doubt it will run on Halloween party days, Christmas party days, or that week between Christmas and New Year when they run the Christmas parade during regular park hours, but that's just guessing. Nothing has been announced, not even the start date of the new parade

I’m hoping that if we do end up with AK during our trip in Aug/Sep that AK will be open late enough for EEH that it will be dark enough to see Pandora at night!

I am surprised too. We have July trip booked staying at boardwalk and then Polynesian and assumed we could do late hours at magic kingdom so hot during the day !

I think last time I was at MK at night it was around 8pm during a May trip and it wasn’t dark enough to see Pandora at night. It’s probably not dark enough in the summer.
