July Exercise Challenge - Let's Beat the Summer Heat - 35 challengers so far!

Headed out to the park last night for 40 more minutes of running/walking. That should bring my total to 270/500!
 
I went for a 75 min walk today around the historic section of my town. It was a nice change of scenery. I also did 30 minutes of strength training. So I added 105 minutes today.

That gives me a new total of 770/1200.

I've been enjoying two days off from exercise after my Sunday long run, but I'm back at it tomorrow morning!

25 minutes on the lake trail. It was very windy the waves were huge! Needless to say my DH said the wind was grabbing the stroller sun shield like a parachute!

7/18 120 mins; AM 30 strength, 30 cardio; PM 60 cardio
7/19 70 mins; 30 strength w/trainer, 40 cardio
7/21 100 mins; 40 bootcamp, 60 cardio
7/23 85 mins; 45 bootcamp, 40 cardio
7/24 110 mins; 30 strength w/trainer, 50 spin class, 30 abs class (ugh!)
 
An hour of Werq and an hour of Body Blast for me today bringing me to:

I haven't done anything in a week. I have been letting stress get the better of me and have been slacking off and eating terrible! I only went to the gym twice last week.
To top it off Monday night I get a muscle spasm in my back. A few hours at urgent care yesterday and I have a bag of pain killers and muscle relaxers that are not doing to much for me. Love the free Military health care but why do they issue Motrin for everything???

Anyhow, no new minutes to add. I am going to try to get in some walking if I can handle it.
 
I got through another day of training. Warm-up, run/walk, and cool down came to 80 minutes.

New total is 850/1200.

I think I might actually be able to pull this off.:scratchin
 
So after my rough day on monday I took it easy and didn't do anything yesterday as I was still tired. Today I felt much better and was able to do my run/walk.

I was able to run 1:30 walk 1:30 for the entire 30 min. :banana: :yay: AND I was able to keep it to a 17 min mile average. Of course I was finished by the end of the 30 min but I know it will get better and I will be able to run longer. I better since I signed up for the Tinkerbell 1/2 in January :rotfl:

Since I work my 12 hr shifts the next 2 days I spent 20 min doing some leg and upperbody strengthing exercises. Thanks to Coach for the recommendations on another thread.

So with my warmup and cooldown that makes me at 755/620.

Ouch, that muscle spasm sounds so painful! Hope you feel better soon. :hug:

Wow, the Tinker Bell Half - go you!!!! Sounds like you're off to great start - keep us posted.

Thanks to power walking with and without my pup, working in the yard, lifting weights [I'm up to 5 lbs now - woo hoo!], and walking a 5K, I have added another 370 minutes to my total, which brings me to 1619/2000. One more week to go!

It has been so hot these past few weeks. Amazingly enough, I've actually stuck with most of my [very early morning] walks and haven't felt too badly afterwards. Unfortunately, my poor dog doesn't go out that often but, in a few weeks, we'll get back to work.

Big day for me today...an hour of Strong, 45 min walking, and finally an hour of Werq...that's 165 minutes for today. Feel great :hyper: I'm now at:

An hour Taekwondo class last night and 61 minute run this morning (5 miles)

Total now at 1470/1600... 5 days to go and I'm in the home stretch of my exercise goals!
