July thru August 20th is the summer season. The good news is you'll have FOTL and the parks stay open until 10pm. The crowd arrives at 11am, and stays until about 5pm. 4-5 hours in the hot sun is enough for most. At noon it will be very hot out, the walk ways packed, and it's a good idea to head back to your room to rest, or go swimming. Then come back to the parks around 5pm as the tired are leaving. Or if you really want to stay in the parks, go on the water rides, get soaked, then head back to your room to change.
Don't know much about the meal deal. Most will recommend the restaurants like Mythos for lunch, or Margaritaville for dinner which is super packed at 8pm. Your room key will move you up on the list to 20 minutes.
