July Crowds/Weather/Help me make a decision!

I was thinking of switching my November 27-Dec 3 trip to July instead. The pros to this are that it won't be chilly, we get to go sooner, the airfare will be cheaper, and we'll get to go for an extra day or two. The cons are that we will miss MVMCP, we may not get all the ADR's we wanted, and my pregnant sister's due date is around the same time. Now, in July, is the weather unbareably hot? Also, how are crowd levels in July? Do you guys think I should switch my trip? Thanks!

Hi,

Early July is VERY VERY busy, the rest of the month is just VERY busy. July is also VERY hot. But if you get to the parks early, use FastPass wisely, and take a mid-day break, you'll do fine.

If you make your ADRs soon, you should be able to get much of what you want, especially if you are flexible with dining times and if you are not going to the most popular restaurants.

Yeah, that's a decision only you can make. That being said, the advantages of July are: longer park hours, so you can afford to take breaks and beat the heat; more things are open and operating during high season; it's value season at some of the resorts, so there are $avings; you will definitely be able to swim! If you choose July, remember to drink lots and lots of water. When you start to feel tired and irritable, drink water!

I wouldn't do it...its soooo hot in July and very very very crowded!! You will most likely have to wait awhile to get on the rides. I hate going in the summertime..I don't think its worth it. People get cranky, your sweaty and ya, not a pretty sight. I love going towards the end of November..it's not that crowded and the weather is awesome. It wont be too cold, but ya never now, it would be comfortable and I think you'd enjoy your trip more. But like the others said..its up to you! Good luck!!

You raise good points as to why you would like to go in July. I love July despite the heat and crowds....my Dh and DD'S have a hard time with both so we have decided to go later on on the year and hopefully, the lower crowds will make the heat more bearable.

I f you are good with heat and crowds, by all means go in July. There are many positive things about going at that time of year that have been mentioned by PP and I totally agree. If it weren't for my kids and DH having such a hard time with crowds, we would go this summer. July is the only month DH can take more than a weeks vacation so we will be limited to one week in late september.

July is my favorite month to go to WDW!

Pros:
* Parks are open late
* Waterparks are awesome in the July heat
* You WILL get to use the hotel pool
* All shows and attractions are running
* The crowds make for a very festive atmosphere

Cons:
* The heat and humidity are often unbearable
* Rainstorms - often torrential daily
* Longer waits (but Fastpass has all but made the worst of it go away forever)
* Possibility that you won't get into a restaurant at the last minute (we've not had that happen yet)

I'm going again this July - it's absolutely the very best time to go IMHO!
