Moderates are $99 with the AP discount, plus tax. The values are $74

I got right through at 7am this morning - CM said no AP rate on my (already booked) standard room mid July - I took it that she meant that no AP's on standard rooms at all but may have been just my dates. I went for woods view instead at $155 (secretly wanted this anyway!)

Yes, however, if the rack rate for the room greater than $500 you would be better off with a AAA rate. The AP rate is $75 off a deluxe room. The AAA rate is 15% off. Factor in the cost of the AP vs. cost of AAA and the break even point goes down.

Hi all:

Just wanted to let you know, we called to change our POR reservation to AP rate for mid-July. At first, CM said there was nothing available at any of the Moderates.

Then, we figured out that the problem was our long stay. We'll be staying 11 nights and there were no discounts that would cover that long a stay. What we ended up doing was booking 9 nights at POR at the AP rate ($99) and 2 nights at AKL at the AP rate ($124 - still cheaper than POR rack rate).

I've been hearing of some having value resort rates at 74/night. What is this discounted off? What is the original price of the values during this time period? Thanks

Rates are not as discounted as in past years. It also seems standard rooms are not being discounted as much in some resorts like WL. Too be expected since buisness has picked up. It may be a long long time before we ever see such rates that were given back in 2002-2003 when their business was down. But a discount is better than no discount at all.

I believe you just need to request the AP rate for the date(s) you want. Good luck!

The current rates being discussed are for Annual Passholders (AP). HTH

I was on the phone at 6:55 this morning. Just dumb luck because nothing was posted at 6:00AM!Wanted WL standard but none were available. We need two rooms so I booked PORFQ for three nights at $99 a night and 4 nights at WL, woods view at $155. I am very happy, although I really wanted WL the whole week but it was just too much per night for two rooms. The CM told me that all standard rooms at WL are booked for the entire month of July!

By the way, the Disney website is really screwed up! I wanted to look at my ressie online and they only had one resort and the total price was off by over $500! Yikes! i called--CM said not to pay attention to the website. Kinda crazy, huh??

I finally got answered on the cell phone about 5 minutes before I had to leave for work, while getting dressed and listening to disney music on cell phone, The cm picks it up I dash to pick up phone (while pulling on pants) and say I'm interested in AP rates that are out for august, I need the 18th > sept 4th Is that possible Poly gv? I have to be at work in 10 minutes? She flew through that computer, worked it out just switched my ressie's over I had, they carried the rate over to sept 4th no problem and the ressies where already covered with down payments your covered. She said she knew they where out today but I was the 1st person she picked up for them. We where done with time to spare and I was not late at work!

And thanks to the early bird who called and broke the news. You made alot of peoples day this morning!

I don't know if I buy this or not (although it doesn't seem anyone was able to get an AP discount on a standard room for July). I went to Disneyworld.com and expedia and plugged in my July dates and they both show standard rooms as available. I'm hoping some will become available as our dates get closer.
