It seems to me we did introductions *wwaaayyyy* back on this thread (maybe sometime in December or January). For those new to our thread, I'm Sara and my DH, Mike, and I will be travelling with our DD, Lexi. It's our third Disney Cruise. We're in Cat. 6, since we decided that we needed a balcony of some sort to sit on while our daughter naps, and on 5/5/04 the price for Cat 6 was $200 *less* than Cat 7... Go figure. Both DH & I are Disney Fanatics - in fact, Mike just recently started working for Dreams Unlimited. I work as the controller for a company that rents audio & video gear.

As for Cabo, we'd pretty much already decided that we'd do it on our own. I'm sort of waiting to see what current cruisers find about Cabo before I make any decisions. With a 2 year old, you have to be flexible.

What is one thing you will definately bring on this cruise. After seeing some other posts, I think I'll bring duct tape (in case the kids or get out of line ). It has so many great uses besides that.

Anyone bringing anything good to read on board? I am going to bring, "A Girl Named Zippy." My bookclub read it while I was on vacation last year and they all loved it. I am also bringing Watership Down because my goal in life is to finish all the high school classics I didn't read.

I don't know about everyone else but I am just horribly busy at work. I intend to spend some time this weekend sorting and will do the major packing next weekend since its supposed to be a four day weekend for me.

Danielle Steele is supposed to have a new book out 7/1 so I will probably buy and hopefully read that on board.

I'm not packing yet...just trying to organize all of my purchases from the past few months to see what I still need! And...swim lessons started Monday, day camp starts Friday, house needs to be cleaned, closets need to be organized...MAN, am I going to need this vacation!!! Oh...and our computer has been randomly restarting and causing us grief (I think I will DIE if it dies on me before the cruise!!!) and our cordless phone died (necessitating an unscheduled, time-consuming shopping trip and the reading of a new manual!!! ). But...I'm determined to stay focused on what's important...this cruise!!!!

No packing here. But, I am the queen of lists. I don't always remember to pack everything on them - but, lists, I make! Don't forget goggles, even for the pools.

Can we get a quick update on Pirate night emsembles? (Except for Mike's crossbone thong )

I am also thinking of blowing off the Cabo Beach Break and heading to the Office if we can rent WaveRunners there. Anyone know? It would be fun to travel in a pack - I mean in as a group That is assuming we EVER GET OUR DOCS {sniffle sniffle}

You're already a member. Please join me in applying for membership in the OTHER club. It is all I can do not to call my wonderful TA every day.

I haven't come up with any ideas for pirate ensemble yet. DD is likely to frown on me dressing her up since she only goes for "pretty". Maybe I can sell her on Pirate Princess.

I've got the 'no docs' blues too. This weekend.... The suitcase will come out, dress pants for Matt will be purchased, and pirate apparel will be confirme. Hopefully that will bring good karma to receiving our docs.

If not, Cheri & I are the official pirate stow-aways!

I have two options for pirate night:

1. DIS green pirate shirt, black pants, cheap pirate hat and eye patch

2. matching family tropical outfits, cheap pirate hat and eye patch

I haven't decided what to do yet. If I go with option #1, I'll probably have to send the shirts out to be cleaned since we're wearing them to embark and for the sailaway party. There's no way the whole family will avoid spilling on that first day! That is a definite disadvantage to that option. But, the shirts do have the perfect pirate logo...so I don't know. Let me know what you guys are doing!

Oddball things I'll bring on my cruise:
Clothes pins (to hold drapes shut during naps)
Suction Cup hooks (to hold dirty laundry bag and/or wet swimsuits)
Scavenger Hunt (just had to throw in that reminder)
Sunscreen Wipes (someone told me about a cheep way to make these)
Pillowcase to have signed for Lexi
Sand Toys for Lexi

We've started packing and have stuff accumulating in our spare bedroom (Cheri, I too have lists, but they never seem to help when it comes to actually packing up stuff). I'm hoping we can put things together without having enough luggage to invade a small country

Anyone have thoughts about what to put in the carry-on? I know about swimsuits, personal meds, the camera and travel docs. Anything else?

Kim, your number #1 outfit is EXACTLY what I am wearing. I just bought black capris.

I don't know what kind of water sports are offered in front of The Office, Cheri. It would be fun to go as a group to The Office.

Congratulations Lori! I guess you didn't want to be part of our club anymore. I, too, am applying for the other club.

As for me, I'm sitting at a nice hotel relaxing. Some little pesky critters were found during the house inspection so we get to go to a hotel and relax for a few days. So nice to not feel guilty that I'm not getting everything done. Lounging around the pool, reading and sleeping in are so nice. And, as you can see they have internet access.

Lori - congratulations on getting your docs! When are you guys leaving? I'm guessing you will be the first group to head out.

I hope everyone else get their docs soon!

I haven't decided yet what I'm going to wear for pirate night. Right now my options are the same as Kim's unless I find something else this weekend.

We have not started packing yet but I have very detailed lists going. I don't plan on packing until the weekend before.

I'm not sure if there are any jet ski rentals right at The Office but I'm sure they are not far off. Two places that I have found are http://www.tiosports.com/home.html and http://www.jtwatersports.com/ .

Sara - We're really looking forward to the scavenger hunt!

Did I cover everything? Oh, reading material. Not sure what I'm bringing yet. Not sure that it matters since I don't usually read what I bring because I'm too busy doing other stuff.

Sara, how do you make the sunscreen wipes?

You take baby wipes in a relatively airtight box, remove them & let them dry out for a week or two. Once they're dry, you put them back into the box and pour sunscreen of choice over them. I like the non-lotion spray-type of sunscreen. The wipes absorb the sunscreen & Voila!

Much easier on a small child than trying to spray or rub in lotion.

8:45AM our flight leaves Newark next Saturday!!! I of course haven't thought about packing. I'll pack next Friday. Too many other things to think about between now and then. I have to take the kids to the dentist, peds, Julianna to get her cast off, get the car serviced, exterminators coming, you know the drill...... I look at it this way, since we'll be in So.CA for a week before, if I have forgotten anything, I'll figure it out and there are plenty of stores!! We're not doing formal/semi-formal night, so I don't have to worry about that.

Hey, did everyone hear that there is a tropical storm/hurricane off of mexico south of Cabo? how scarry i hope everyone isnt too green this really makes you want to grab those sea sick wrist bands or patches.Has anyone been through something like this ? if so what do they usually do ? skip ports? That's exactly right, Lori. Me too! Packing will be the LAST thing I'll be doing the day before we leave. Besides, I wear a lot of the clothing that I'll be packing, so I'll be doing laundry up until the day before also and then packing it.
