July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

We were getting close to being bumped to page 2! Anyway, did any of you see anything on the news/cable stations about the event yesterday? I saw some quick moments but nothing about us. I was wondering what the Disney people did with our "star" moment? Did I understand it right that they were putting it on some satelite for anyone who wanted to, to use? I was wondering if anyone who worked for Disney or ABC might be able to get their hands on it??! I really wanted to see us and to see Mike's interview!

We watched Channel 9 news at 11pm last night. There was a great clip on the day's event. Unfortunately the DIS'ers weren't in it (go figure!). One of my friends commented on the clip at church this morning and how nice everything appeared.

As Disney was recording Mike, so was I. In the meantime, if Disney comes through and provides a copy, that'd be great. But if all else fails, I'll have my tape on the cruise.

Great pictures, Sheila. I wish we were there....but we'll be there on the 9th when it's really important!

Hey, Karen...how was DD's first communion? It was Saturday, wasn't it? Also...are you guys still riding with Randi's Happy Horses? Is it all 4 of you?

Just for an update...who else is riding with Randi on July 13th?

We are and I'm really looking forward to it.

Have you guys seen the live reports from this week's cruise? Some good information has been posted.

Amous, are you still looking for that steamer trunk?

Absolutely! Are you? If so, have you found anything?

Sheila...Randi has a Susan, party of 2, on her ride list as well. Do you know if that is SusanB from our group? I think we had the ride full of DISers until Lori had to cancel for health reasons. I'm trying to confirm with Randi that all in our group that are signed up will be riding together.

Hi Kim,

Yes, that is SusanB and her DD. Did Randi give you a list of everybody? I was thinking of sending her an email to confirm but I won't if you already have.

Craig / Christine.... sent you a PM.

We have the first report of someone on the July 2nd cruise getting docs. That means ours will not be far behind! :Pinkbounc

Kim--yes, we're still planning on Randi's. DD's First Communion was incredible. I really cried. Very busy weekend. Megan's b-day was on Friday, First Communion, then brunch on Saturday, b-day party and BBQ on Sunday, BBQ at friend's on Monday, took my parents to the airport at 6 am this morning. Also, we sold the house within 24 hours for more than asking (at least 6 offers--too many to remember). Plus, I had a deadline for work last week. I'm just now coming up for air. Now I need to catch up on the trip reports. I can't believe it's a little over a month to go. I will so much need that vacation (don't we all).

Chris--please let me know of a wine to bring. We aren't big wine drinkers (okay, I'll admit it, I'll drink Charles Shaw (Trader Joe's) in a pinch--I can already hear the groans). If you could give me some guidance, I would be so appreciative. We'll be down your way at the end of June. We are going to Legoland and SeaWorld with two other families--our friends wanted a . Any good restaurants around SeaWorld--I think we're staying at a Marriott near SeaWorld.

Karen

Restaurant Row is a ten minute jump from Sea World on the 8. My "must go" retaurant in San Diego is Bullys. Great Prime. Dinner untill 1:30AM. best dish - Terriyaki steak & Enchilada combo. Sounds odd but once you have it, you'll see why it is on the menu. There is also a nice restaurant at Paradise Point Resort - Baleen - across from Sea World. Old Town Mexican Cafe is ten minutes from Sea World. Top of the Ma

Thanks, Craig! Now we have to see if DS if up to babysitting 5 other kids, lol. We would have to pay him a lot of money to do that!

Craig, quick question: From the sound of the name: "BULLYS", is it ok to bring my 10 and 15 year old? Also, is this on route 8 also? We are heading to SanDiego on 7/5 to see the Zoo or SeaWorld (or even both?). We got the Southern California passes that include Disney, SD Zoo and SeaWorld (and some other places).

Thanks for the info.

This is California, everywhere is pretty laid back. Bullys is an old school restaurant you don't see many of. Kind of a cross between a british Pub and steak house. We took Quinton there. Always see lots of families. People come for special occasions or a quick casual dinner - i understand that Bully's is a San Diego institution. They also serve breakfast - get the prime rib & eggs.
