July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

WEST COAST MEET & GREET 2 A couple have expressed interest in joining us at San Pedro to send of the Magic on May 28, followed by a maragrita or dinner at Acapulco next door. So far I have on the interest list: Grumpymom1 & family, Soccermom & family, anyone else?

The ship sails at 5pm. We could meet around 4pm. Have our own little sailway party.

Saw on a thread the may cruises are starting to get their documents.

Count us in for San Pedro on 5/28! And for the margarita! Several cruises are starting to get their docs? There's only one thing I want to know at this point.....

When will ours arrive?! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Whew! Nearly lost it there! - Amy

Mike, Lexi & I will be there - we used it as an excuse to come down to Disneyland that weekend :cool1:

I'm all for doing Cabo on our own. Some friends just went over Spring Break and they said it's so Americanized that we will have no problems at all. I'll check out the link posted (thank you!) $40 per person does seem steep for a boat ride, especially when we can do it ourselves. And we won't have to get up early ;) We just need a beach, beach chairs, food, drinks, and water toys. With so many wonderful, web capable planners I know we'll get something great. :Pinkbounc

If the counters are right we have about 80 days? :Pinkbounc OMG!! I am so ready to start doing the "doc dance". I think the meet on the 28th will just about push me over the edge :rotfl:

I love the postcard idea. Last cruise Timmy took a phone number on a tiny scrap of paper. You can guess what happened :earseek: Postcards would be harder to lose.

{{{Lori}}} I hope you are feeling better :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

We got our shirts, and they look great!

Cheri--I agree that the postcards will be harder to lose. Also--it'll be cool for the kids to have postcards from different parts of the country! The teacher in me will want Alexis to find all the places on a map. :teacher:

Sheila,

Thanks for the link. That looks perfect. I read that someone ate, drank and paid for tips for only $23--and that was for 2 or 3 of them. Much cheaper than the Disney option, and it gives us the flexibility to go and leave when we want. Also, it said that if we wanted to go see the arches, we could ask the water taxi to take us there for a little more. I would be interested in that.

We got the t-shirts. They look GREAT! They are a surprise for the kids. The mugs are so cute, too.

That sounds great about the postcards. So un-Disney, but ours will have Six Flags Magic Mountain on them because that is what we're known for (oh, and fires in our hills and flooding at the mobile home parks--but I don't think they have postcards of those things). How many do you think we should bring?

Karen

Well, I am home, and trying to figure out that caps locK!! Sorry it this ends up in all caps!!! I'm a mess, but hopefully will be better by July. Thanks for all the well wishes and I'll keep you posted!!!

Lori - I'm glad that you're home & that you figured out the caps lock. Get better so that we can all fuss over you in July - heck you might even be able to convince your Dr. that the cruise is just the sort of rest & relaxation you need to get fully better. :teacher:

Sorry to hear about your shirt problem. I checked the site and your set-ups are still there. Here is a telephone number for Cafe Press: Toll Free 1-877-809-1659. Has anyone else got their shirts?

Well for the shirt update. I received an email from CafePress with an apology. They said they are shipping me an entire new order and I won't be charged for this one! I am wondering if that means I will be getting more stickers, yet another shirt for Dylan (I won't have to worry about him spilling anything on it!!!), and another coaster (could use this for the bar -- which hasn't come yet!!). They asked me to give them the red number stamped on the invoice as that is their quality control. Mine had 5 different numbers stamped on it -- some quality control! pirate:

Lori -- so glad you are home. Now get plenty of rest so that you will be in tip-top shape for the cruise!

I just wish July would get here! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Got our shirts today too! Krystal was already wearing hers when I got home and still has it on. I think I'm going to have to pry it from her so it doesn't get ruined before the cruise.

Glad the shirts are arriving and meeting everyone's expectations.

Here is the list for the May 28 "Sail-Away Party from the Gangway" as it stands now:

ScouterDad Family - 3
GrumpyMom1
Soccermom-Cheri
Hayesktrm - Communion
Swcruiser-1
Mommykeg-
Amous
Sarangel-3

The names in bold are confirmed. I included Hayesktrm if she can come after the communion.

I say we meet at about 4pm-I believe the ship sails at 5pm. Margaritas and dinner at about 5:30. I need an accurate head count to reserve a table for our group. Do we want one big table or a a separate table for the kids if they want to sit together.

There will be 3 of us. A separate table for the kids might be good.

Do you realize the Magic leaves Florida 3 weeks from tomorrow? :bounce:

Good Morning everyone, I'm still having problem with the caps lock, so I apolgize in advance for all caps!! Anyway, today isn't any better but I'm trying. I'm trying to move a little more. I did cancel with Randi last night, so if someone wants my spots they are open. We're taking the Sierra Madre Tour in Matazalan now, so hopefully they will be cool and comfortable for me!!! I'm hoping rehab won't be necessary, but we'll see how the next week goes. I meet with the neurologist next week and will follow up with him. I'll keep you all posted, and thanks for the well wishes!!!

That's one VERY cool website - why aren't we there yet? pirate:

I am just picturing myself under one of those umbrellas with a drink in my hand. I need it after today! I was a chaparone for about 100 7th graders going to the Science Center in LA. I was responsible for 12 kids--9 of those girls. Pre-teen girls scare me :sad2: . The hour bus ride there and back was quite enjoyable :rotfl2: . July can't come too soon :hourglass .

Lori, did they find out what caused your stroke? I'm sorry you won't be joining us for Randi's--I know you'll have fun on your excursion, too, though. You can tell us all about it.
