Hey is there anyone out there booked on this cruise? I keep lurking and looking to see if anyone has started a thread....and here I am ... barely computer literate

I have added a link to your cruise meet thread :cool1:

Have a great cruise!

We'll be there - it is the hubby and I's 10-year wedding anniversary. We are bringing our two daughters (ages 6 and 20 months) with us.

Congrats!! We are also celebrating our anniversary...but 24 years.

My DH and I will be bringing DD19, DS16, DS14 and DS12.
It is nice to know that there is someone out there :)

Have either of you done a Disney cruise before? This will be mine and my hubby's first Disney cruise, but we have been on other cruises with Royal Caribbean before. However, this is the first time the kids will have ever cruised. I'm a little worried about the 20-month-old... especially with the time difference. We're in the Midwest.

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. We took the Magic to the Eastern Caribbean in 2005 and again in 2009. The first time it was a "once-in-a-lifetime-thing" so we had to do it again! Both vacations were amazing and now I am hooked.

Have you checked out the thread on door magnets?

My family and I are excited to be going. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise (1st was the Dream in 2010) but our first time to Alaska.

We are just now starting to think about what our activities should be and what to pack.

Hope we all have a great time!

How was the Dream? I have only been on the Magic. I do hope to get on one of the new ships....some day.

Does anybody know if they have any theme nights? Like the Pirate night? I am not sure where to get that information and my travel agent hasn't been too helpful

We are on this cruise! DH, me, our twin six-year-old boys, my mom, and stepdad. I'm part of the "Psychiatry Cruise" for CMEs on board, so watch out for all of us psychiatrists and psychologists!

Welcome twopeasonepod! Hmm I had no idea this was a "themed" cruise. How many are traveling as part of the "psychiatry cruise"? :)

Thank you! No idea how many are going to be onboard. This group does a CME cruise every year, but this is my first time. And, to my knowledge, the first time they've done DCL.

I find that very interesting! Do they have meetings while on the ship? Or is the cruise attached to a conference in Seattle or something? And please excuse my ignorance but what does CME stand for?

"Continuing Medical Education" -- basically what we need to keep our skills updated and our licensing boards happy.

We are having conferences on board. Tues 9-5, Wed 9-3, and Fri 1:30-5. We get 14.5 CMEs, which is awesome to get while cruising the high seas with Mickey!

That is a lot of time to be spent in meetings but what a great way to do it. Your twins will have a great time in the camp/club house while you "work" though! :cool1:

True, lots of time spent in a room instead of exploring, but this way I get to do a business trip while my family can enjoy the ship and the sights. Our first time on DCL so very excited!

Have you checked out the thread on door magnets? There are some very creative people there and very generous with their time and ideas.
