eeyorelvr10, sounds like fun! It looks like the audience always has a good time on her show :)

Threebritts, congrats to your daughter :cool1:

Love the logos! I am so behind already. Thankfully I joined this thread. I'd be totally lost without everyone. I had no idea about not being able to bring home the Rubles, costs for the London hotels etc. You guys are the best :goodvibes

I had posted about 10x pages ago (man is this thread active for the cruise being so far away!) :surfweb: We had managed to book 5024 and were so pumped. 5022 had also been available at the time, but unfortunately by the time I had finished booking 5024 it was no longer there. :scared1:
Well, I was very persistant (and very lucky), and managed to also snag 5022 several days ago! :cool1:
So, we are definitely in! :woohoo:

KeggyI'll try to get you an e-mail later today with our details. Great website! :cool2: There is no way that I could ever do that.

Looks like we have some very creative people, wonderful siggies and great cruise designs. :worship: I hope you all are going to share with the rest of us non-creative types?

Well, the hard part (booking this baby) of the ordeal is over! Now I've got 1 1/2 years to plan it! :cool1:

Hi Denise,

I did take me a while to learn it. I am not the quickest at learning new programs. I did a lot of tutorials at the photoshop elements users website. I subscribed for 2 years and just did as many as I could. I also do several tutorials at digital scrapbooking websits. It really is useful and not very difficult once you learn it.

I have part of a Viking Mickey done but know I have to learn how to share it here. I'd like to put him in more Viking like clothes.

I need to learn this program..is it hard? I have been using Microsoft Picture it! for years but bought Elements a few months back. Bought a big book too on it but just have not gotten into it....It would be great if you could help with a viking mickey. Thanks for the offer.

Thanks, its so nice to have her HAPPY at school! Shes up before the alarm and is getting straight A's. There are only 9 kids in her class as compared to the private school last year she went to and they had 22 kids. One of the reasons I changed was the DCL WB repo in May. After saying they would let her have it off ( the last 2 weeks of school) they tried to say no. Education is very important but the PC cruise was something that doesnt happen every day either. Im really glad this cruise is in the summer, although I would have done the same thing. I mean how many kids can say their going to 7 countries in 12 days!:woohoo:

Hello again,

I feel like I'm going to be lost in this group because I don't get to post often. I did take a few minutes to read through the last 10 pages and catch-up. The logos are all very nice. I need to learn how to add one to my signature. I'd love to have T-shirts made too.

I am fascinated that so many of you are able to make plans so far ahead. My life has been a bit chaotic the last 5 year with my husband's job. So we have just been taking things year by year. We waited 2 1/2 year to take our 2006 cruise because he had a job change and we had to postpone a year.

So we are thinking we may be moving to England before the cruise. So I can't make any major travel plans. Whether we are still in Germany or in England, we will probably drive to Dover. Does anyone know if safe parking is available? How much it will cost?

I like to scrapbook when i have the time. Mostly I do digital scrap booking in Photoshop Elements. I'm fairly knowledgeable with it, so I might be able to spend some time creating a viking Mickey.

I'm not sure when I can get to it because my life right now is shuffling kids to soccer, dance, scouts, religious ed, and other clubs. Oh and we are homeschoolers so I should try to fit some of that in as well.

Well just jump in when you can then ! I post alot on my days off and then when im working my 12s all I can manage is work and sleep.I guess thats why I start planning ahead so much and was glad this thread was started!
I think this is going to be a great cruise though, look how early it is and how much creativity there is

We had a scrap party too on the last one . We did a whole 8x8 book that a cruiser who works for disney put together. The swapping pages sounds great and probably a better idea then doing a whole book.

We also did a dis boards group picture in all our shirts and on pirate night with a ships photographer in front of Lumieres.
OMgosh... I'm a scrapper too and I haven't scraped my last trip yet... I need to get it done before the next one though..

I love scrapbooking, been doing it a long time. I've switched over to digital so I can take it everywhere I go now! I would love to see us do something on this cruise but..... we're gonna be awfully busy seeing ports. Maybe arrange to collect all sorts of ephemera and share it would be good, that's only one idea, but since there are so many of us scrappers I'm sure we can come up with some other things as well. I just worry about finding the time to actually sit down and scrap. I've been on two long cruises and still didn't have enough time to do all I wanted!

Our TA got us three nights pre-cruise at the Renaissance, and one night post-cruise also at the Renaissance. We are wait-listed for the 2nd night. She verified that four people can stay (unlike what the DCL rep told me). She said if we cancel our air portion, we can still buy transfers for $225 each (which would take us airport to hotel to ship to hotel to airport).

you can book this far out? or is it all thru Disney?

Wonder if there is a Czar Mickey?

I found a few really cute pictures of the characters when I was on my quest.

There is Mickey as a Buckingham Palace Guard, Goofy in Russian garb (don't know the term, sorry), Mickey in Lederhosen, and a couple others. I was trying to find a bunch of different characters one form each country - or Mickey from every country. But, I gave up!

Hi...

I started this website to help capture facts and information about the different ports/countries we will be visiting. Check it out at www.magicalbalticcruise.com and let me know what you think (you can sign in the Guestbook)! It's a work in progress...I'll be making frequent updates, so check back often. I'm open to suggestions on the type of information you'd like to see and can add it. Thought it would be nice to have a single source that references all the information we will need about these amazing countries.

We're on the June 24th Baltic Cruise...hope you enjoy!

Great job - thank you for letting us know!

Denise - if you were asking about hotel bookings and air bookings, ours is all done through DCL. I think airlines will book 11 months out, and hotels are generally a year. I've signed up at Travelocity for their fare-watcher for ATL to LHR (London Heathrow) to see how the fares are going so we'll know if we want to stay with DCL for air or try to do it on our own. The thing for us with going with DCL's air is that we are pretty much guaranteed being able to do a non-stop from ATL on the red-eye which is what we want to do. And unless fares go down considerably, the extra for the air/transfers that DCL is currently charging is around what we'd pay on our own. But we'll still watch because if airfare goes down considerably, it's worth doing on our own. We went ahead and had it booked because we didn't want to get to a point where they didn't have anything left. We waited on the Med to book our pre-cruise hotel and ended up at one of the out-lying hotels which was fine but if I'd had a choice, I would've chosen one of the others.

I started working on my graph for saving up for this trip. Are any of you doing any creative things for saving up for it? We have chosen to make ths a family project with all of us pitching in so that we can save up faster... every time we do something that saves money, we know that is helping pay for it.

I had read in a trip report that someone had done a thermometer type of thing where they colored it in each time they made a payment. Something like that would be neat to do too. Especially if you have kids and you might be cutting back in order to make this trip!

I told the girls (DD and DD BFF) they could earn money if they help me lose weight. I added they just can't say, "How's it going." They said darn...
I also told them I would pay them to wash ours cars toward their money for the trip....didn't go over so well because it was work!
But seriously....we are not getting mochas anymore...there's $4 X 3 a day...every little bit helps....
maybe I'll sell our furniture too!:rotfl:

LOL- I should get my kids to help. I'm using this cruise as an incentive to exercise. I told my husband he gets to cancel the trip if I don't keep up with my goals. If that doesn't work- nothing will !

Our first thing is to not have Pizza Night every Tuesday, but to do it just twice a month instead of every week. That will save $20/night, so that's $800. And while that might not seem like a lot, that's insurance, tips, or transfers, or some combination of the three. Or 61.5% of Zachary's cruise fare. Hhhmmmm... writing that just gave me the idea that I'm going to challenge the boys to come up with ways to SAVE their cruise fares. Like every time they turn a light out or don't take a super-long shower or turn the t.v. off when they aren't watching it, they can put some change in a jar. I bet they "earn" their cruise passage easily that way.
