We booked online this afternoon. Cabin 2054 cat 9. I had planned on Cat 10, but all that was left where rooms on deck 1. I figure I have to draw the line somewhere, so I ponied up the extra $ for a porthole. We just got back from 4 days on the Wonder in room 2060, so I know we like the location.

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO Everyone!!! :wave2:

Hello to our 7-7-07 Med friends: Denise, OurDogCisco, Calif_Disney_1, APinCA, DadofLostBoys, and Twinparents!

Hello to my very good friend NZDisneyMom from our Spring Break '08 cruise!

Hello to DMMarla07860 from our 7/13/08 Mexican Riviera cruise!

Holy cow, was this morning ever stressful!!! :scared: First of all, we just flew home very late last night from out-of-state, visiting DH's ailing mother. Then, I had to be back at school by 7:15am this morning. (I'm a teacher but, fortunately, I'm in a specialty position and have a very flexible schedule.) By 7:45am I was logged into the DCL website, had my desk phone programmed to redial the CC number, and my cell phone programmed to dial the regular DCL number. I was as prepared as I could be considering I hadn't contacted a TA because I still haven't "officially" talked DH into this cruise. :upsidedow It's a good thing he's VERY familiar with the saying, "If Mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" so hopefully he'll realize very soon that we are, indeed, going to be on this cruise. :rotfl:

From 8am until I had to give up at 9:45am for a meeting, the website kept giving me an error message saying nothing was available for this cruise and to try another itinerary. :sad2: In the meantime, I'd gotten through on the CC number at 8:10am and was in queue with music playing... until I was DISCONNECTED at 8:57am. :scared1: It sounded like someone picked up and immediately hung up on me. :guilty: I kept trying and trying and trying to get through again until my 9:45am meeting. At this point, I figured I was out of luck and ready to give up. :sad1:

The meeting ended at 10:30am and, after I returned to my office, I thought I'd give the website another try. This time, it let me get all the way to the page where I entered all of our names, birth dates, etc., but then every time I hit "continue", it gave me another red error message that said "We're having a problem with our reservation system that will prevent you from booking your vacation package or retrieving your reservation right now. We're sorry for any inconvenience..." This went on for the next hour! WAAAAAAAAAAA

As soon as the website started working, I also tried calling and was, once again, in queue with music playing after a voice announced, "Your anticipated wait time is... one hundred sixty seven minutes." :headache: Again, I figured I might as well just give up. This cruise was not meant to be for us. But, someone did pick up after a little over an hour! I wanted a mid-ship Cat4 but ended up with at QTY. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for a good cabin assignment. We also requested late dining although I was very surprised we were still given a choice at this point.

So, right now DH and I are booked, as well as our two adult children (DD27 at the time of the cruise & DS who would turn 26 on the cruise). However, a lot could happen with our "kids" between now and July 2010, so we're not really counting on them coming with us even though we all had a FABULOUS time together on the Med! :goodvibes

Can't wait for 7/6/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pirate:

May I say Congratulations to all of you here who were successful today in booking! It was no small feat, and being under the weather here today anyway did not help it along, lol. Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all as time goes on here on our Meet thread.

Here is an introduction of ourselves:

Me (CarolAnnC) Moderator here on the DIS of the DVC boards
DH John (Crissup)
DD Kristen (will be 27 on the cruise)
DD Jennifer (will be 24 on the cruise)

So now someone creative needs to get busy and design us a logo to use for the next 20+ months! I'll be glad to add a list of DISers sailing on this one in the first post if you guys want me to do that... before we get all buried!

Thanks so much for keeping the list Cindy! That is fantastic...I will hunt around to get info on a logo for us..

Just thought I'd swing by here to see if any of my old mates from the Med cruises last year were around... Hi Cindy, Lissa, Carol and of course ScottishWee and families! Nice to see you guys are still here.

Hope you remember us, Shaun - sharper_fin - the Disney author, and his partner the lovely Jill. We had a great time with you in the Med.

Enjoy your European cruise!

Look who's here!!! So nice to have you join our Merry Bunch!

Ok, I've got everyone added up to this point to the first post (this is a marker for me to know where I'm up to). We'll be offline for a few days but I'll catch up when we return.

I thought I could start a spreadsheet to have for our planning purposes as the months go by. I would love to put it somewhere that everyone could just add their own info for things like DIS Names, Cabin numbers, Dining (main or late), Names / adults / children, where we're from, etc. - and then have space to indicate if they are participating in various DIS-things we might arrange (like fish extenders, etc.) Does anyone know of where we might be able to set up something like that?

I will see what I can find out for you on this too Cindy..see you back here in a few days!

Hi All! We're in also...if any of you were on the Inagural Mediterranean cruise we were on that one as well. Had a nightmare booking this morning (like many of you) but I am just ecstatic that I got the cruise I wanted. Right now we are in room 2078 but may be changing to another category...so we'll see. I am so excited to, even though the trip is so far away!! I can't wait to meet all of you!

Hi Deb!
I was wondering who else from 070707Med would make it here:thumbsup2
I was up at 4:45am on speaker phone with my sister waiting for 5am! Saw so many error messages trying to book I thought I'd never make it to work. We were able to book a little after 7am. I also got the 167 minute wait time message:laughing:

Looking forward to 2010!
Kathy

Wow, it is so nice to be remembered. I only met a few of you on the ship last time...but I do remember all of the names and all of the postings. We had a great time in the Med., and I had thought that was going to be the Family "trip of a life time", but leave it to Disney to give us another "trip of a life time". I really hope somebody comes up with a cool shirt again. we still wear ours.

Me John
DW Judy
DD Sarah (will be 18)
DS Nicholas (will be 15)

Some friends have also booked, and I will have to get them on to this web site..

Hi guys!! Looks like a reunion of the 7/7/07.... 2010 here we come... :cool1:

4 of us DW, two DS and myself!

I'm on this one. Soooo excited. DU was the best! They really rallied to get us what we wanted. There are 5 of us in a cat. 4. I'm thrilled! This will be our 4th DCL, the first two we had 2 cat. 11, and the last one (this June in Mexico) we had two 8's. I'm so thrilled to have a verandah, although I'll miss having two rooms.

Anyway, my name is Sandra, and I'm travelling with my dh and my 3 ds. At time of travel: 14, 10, and 8.

I don't know how I can stand the wait. We are going to Ireland on an ABD next year, and I'm not even close to being excited for that. I just love the magic and this is the trip I've always wanted to take:)

I'm thrilled to meet all of you. Sounds like a great bunch so far.

I can't wait to start dreaming about excursions etc. Also want to stay in Dover for a few days beforehand and then London a few days after(if we can afford it).

Happy waiting...

Stateroom 8586 Lissa? Ooh, a posh one! Plenty of room in there. Good for you, we're looking forwards to seeing you guys again.

Does anyone know how quickly this cruise is selling? Is there much left?

Does anyone else here have any other Disney trips lined up before our Baltic Adventure?

We're off to WDW in June next year (even THAT seems such a long way away....)

We do. Our next one is a DCL for Christmas this year (njmom23grls is also onboard with us)... and the boys don't know about this trip yet! So it will be a nice :santa: surprise.

And then in June, we're going to Disneyland to celebrate Nathan's 13th birthday!

I've updated the OP with everyone's DISNames that have posted that they've booked - and included cabin numbers where they were available. If I have you wrong or mistyped your name, PM me and I'll fix it. We'll be offline for a few days.

Then next end of November 09 I am going to NEW YORK with 5 ladies for Xmas Shopping;)
