Since July 4th is a Sunday, July 5th is the day the "legal holiday" is observed. Does anyone know if there will be extended hours & extra celebrations on July 4th and 5th? I'm figuring the July hours won't be out for a while and I'm anxious!

Thanks!:D

We'll also be at Disney for July 4th! This is our third time visiting at that time and the crowds aren't really that bad!!

Anyway, on the other trips, there were no other "extra" fireworks for the official holiday. There was just the one fireworks show on July 4th. (One of the times we were there, July 3 was the "holiday" since July 4th fell on a Saturday. Nothing special for July 3 - but a great showing on the 4th!

Enjoy!!!

im glad to see the crowds wont be too bad, we will be going from july 11-21, and i was dreading the crowds.and the line waits.
also had a question for anyone that has been there around that time... i know last year at universal studios, the fastpasses for the whole day where gone very quickly like in 10 min. is it the same at wdw or can you still get fastpasses like normal throughout the day?
Also i wish they would hurry and post july hours too..dont they know we have planning to do..lol
thanks for the input.

July 5th is a holiday every year... it's my b-day ;) Sorry I can't answer your question though.

We too will be there for the July 4th holiday, our 4th time. There are more fireworks on the 4th, but that is it. I can tell you that during peak times, like in July, the hours are longer. If I remember correctly MK was open until 11pm the entire time we were there(first week of July) so it's great to visit early, then leave during the busy times, then head back late in the day when it is less crowded. The fast passes will run out about half way through the day on really busy days so be prepared. Mission Space and Test Track seem to be the ones that go the quickest, so if you want to ride those hit Epcot early, and then go back later in the day when your fast pass time rolls around. Hope this helps!
