I agree! I've been following a fun trip report. The pictures of the Wonder with the splendor of Alaska in the background have me SOOoooo excited.

In case you missed it, someone posted the Alaskan Navigators yesterday (May 11) at 2:22 pm. The thread is titled Alaska Navagators are here!!!!! :worship:
Enjoy!

Hello Alaska Dis Friends - We sailed on the Dream a few weeks ago and I am now ready to turn my attention to Alaska! I am loving the pictures and reports coming from the Alaska inaugural cruise.

In response to some of the questions many of you have posted in the past few weeks/months:

Which Disney parks have you been too and which is your favorite ride/attraction in each?

Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peopemover (although I miss the old narration...not happy with the new, but I still love this ride). I also love Wishes. It always makes me tear up.

Epcot - Used to be Living with the Land (strange I know), but recently was overtaken by Soarin'. Love the music from Soarin'!

Hollywood Studios - When my kids were younger I loved Playhouse Disney Live on Stage (when they still had Bear in the Big Blue House, Stanley, etc). Now my favorite is THe Beauty and the Beast Show.

Animal Kingdom - Nemo the Musical

We haven't been to Disneyland or any of the other Disney Parks, but hope to get there some day!

We are flying in to San Francisco to see the city and visit with my Aunt a few days before the cruise. From there we fly into Vancouver and will be staying at the Pan Pacific the night before.

I love the idea of the ribbons that we could attach to our lanyards!

I keep changing my mind about what FE gifts to do, but I figure I better decide and get working on it! :)

Also - I think someone asked if there are any 10 year old boys sailing. I have two young boys that are sailing, ages 9 and 5.

Thanks to everyone for all of the info you have posted here. We are getting so excited for this trip. It will be amazing.

Moved our Magic reservation in December to the Fantasy in May. It will be interesting to try one of the new ships plus we have never been to Grand Cayman or Costa Maya. Our Alaska cruise is so close yet seems so far away. I think that it is the craziness of the last month of school that makes it seem so far away. I promised myself that I would lose 10 pounds before the trip, but I have spent every day at the school or doing some activity with the kids that it is time to go to bed by the time I have time to stop! DD finished yesterday, but we still have dance recital coming up. DS still has 2 more weeks of school. I have to get on the ball about exercising. Wow, 7 weeks!

Wow I think I just might book the Fantasy for 2013 (talk about early planning)

I am also trying to lose 20 pounds. It is so hard. I starting to swim laps in the local gym and now have a friend to walk with. The problem is time......

Our schools don't finish to the end of June here in the North east and we start school after labor day.

7 weeks, I need to start packing :woohoo:

not sure if there is pirate nite but someone posted they will have the buffet still and that pirate nite is an alaskan menu. so not sure if that means we still dress for pirate nite or not. have to do a search on those that have went recently to find that answer. I have a semi list of disers on this cruise most are those doing the FE. roughly 18 on my lsit.

They do have a pirate night. I do not remember which night, but someone mentioned it on one of the threads. It is up to you whether you dress or not. They said they did the show and everything, but just without fireworks.

Hi Everyone,

We're a new family to the thread and live outside of Los Angeles. We would love to join the FE list and are looking forward to our first Disney cruise.

On one of the cruises we took in the past, one of the girls on the cruise made little green ribbons to attach to you lanyard. It was not very big, but allowed those of us on the boards to identify those we've been chatting with over the last months. If anyone is interested in this, I would be willing to take care of the ribbons. Sue

Sue,

We are interested in the green ribbons. PM has been sent.

Thanks for organizing this.

For the new members of our cruise group I wanted to let you know that we have a site where I am putting together pictures of everyone so we can "meet" each other before our cruise. Send me (lkc103@yahoo.com) your picture and I will add them. Don't forget to include your screen name and the names of the people in your picture.
