July 5, 2011 - Mickey's WONDERful Alaskan Adventure

Yeah Mary and Mark!

We aren't paid in full be we do have our flights :goodvibes Does anyone know when people who have been on 4 past cruises get to book excursions? :confused3

4 cruises would mean you are silver and can book 90 days out which would be 4/6/11. You can confirm this when you log on to the Disney Cruise site and call up your cruise.

Hi everyone,

We just decided about a week ago that we will be going on this cruise too! I have just gotten off of the Dream and was able to rebook some rooms for us. We will be a big group of 31 in 9 staterooms---having a family reunion. I am super excited as I have never done an Alaskan cruise before!

None of the others in our group has been on a Disney cruise before (many haven't even cruised before) and are not DISers, but I am and would love to participate in the FE exchange. :goodvibes

There will be myself (Michelle), DH, DS18, DD17, DD14 and DS9. So far, we are in rooms #2558 and #2560.

Welcome aboard and i have added you to the FE list

They just put dad back in the hospital this past week for a bloodclot. they are talking about pushing out his chemo a week so he is over this bloodclot first. on the bright side he told me today this is a once in a lifetime trip and he is determined to go on it no matter what. :thumbsup2

Tracy - keeping your Dad in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like he has a very positive attitude and that's very important. I can't wait to meet you all.

Welcome aboard Michelle! Sounds like you have quite a party planned!
We do! So happy to be joining everyone!

Wow, that's some party!!
Thanks! We are all so excited! None of them have ever done a Disney cruise before, many not having cruised before period, so I think they are in for a great time. :)

Thank you!

Welcome Michelle!!! I have been reading the reports about the Dream (the good bad & ulgy) Can't wait to pick your brain about the ship in person.

Wow 31 people PHEW.....are you booking this for everyone? I booked 20 of us for our Wonder family Thanksgiving cruise a few years back. It was alot of work.
Early on I was told there was to be a high school graduation party on our date. Has anyone else heard this?

You can ask anything you want! I personally loved being on the Dream and found her to be awesome/spectacular/amazing!
Yes, it has already been alot of work, and I am sure it will be too.

Uh-oh, a high school graduation party?

Welcome aboard and i have added you to the FE list

Thanks!

Good morning my fellow Alaskan cruisers!

We sail in 20 weeks!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Good for you!!! We paid ours off in December, and booked decent airfares from EWR to Vancouver with Continental. Did you get your air as of yet?

We actually booked our flights through Disney - I'm still a little nervous about this, but they had and contiune to have a better price then I could get myself. I hate not having control of this, but since we're coming in on Sunday, guess it won't be too bad.

Woo hoo is right - can't get here fast enough. More snow today, just when I thought spring was close. That 70 degree weather on Friday was a big tease!

WOW! I just called our money man today to transfer the needed funds into our account to pay off the cruise.

We'll be staying in Vancouver for three nights ahead of our cruise. We wanted to be sure we'd arrive, be rested, and have a chance to explore Vancouver before we leave for our cruise.

We'll be staying at the St. Regis Hotel. Our TA says this includes a full breakfast. With 20 yo sons this is a selling point :thumbsup2

We fly back home the day we get off the ship. Not so worried about fatigue then.

Can't hardly believe we will actually be going to Alaska on a Disney Cruise! It's been on our bucket list forever. We haven't been on the Wonder since our first 4-day cruise oh so long ago.

:cheer2:

Haven't been on the board in a while, so I am catching up on all that I missed because Monday is the day that I can book excursions, spa, and Palo. I cannot wait! I was going over the excursions with my family and they really look like fun. Can't wait to see some whales!

Our boys are home from college for spring break this week so we'll be deciding on our excursions. We can't book until 4/6 so we'll have to come up with a number of choices for each port.

What are you thinking of?

2nd choice - Bering Sea Crab Fishermen's Tour
3rd choice - Adventure Kart Expedition
