July 5, 2011 - Mickey's WONDERful Alaskan Adventure

i am thinking that 10 months sounds like alot less time then 300 something days..:rotfl2::worship::goodvibes:thumbsup2 either way i am sooo ready for vacation now.

hope everyone is having a good weekend. we just went to see kenny rogers in concert last night at one of our local fairgrounds. was a very good concert.

school starts up in a week here. :thumbsup2 i need to go take my bordem and find something constructive to do with it. :rotfl2: any ideas? :worship:

Sounds like alot of fun. It is so.......hot in the NYC & Jersey area, that it's been hard to enjoy anything outdoors.

School start here the first week in Septemeber. We are renting a shore house the week of 8/21. Never thought I would say this, but we're hoping for cool weather.

Our airfare is booked ordered insurance transfers in VC, & hotel today. Only thing left is our tours. :cool1:

Hi,
We booked our pre-cruise stay at the St. Regis Hotel. We got two rooms and the price includes a full breakfast each day.

I can't believe all the people who booked airfare already. Makes me feel like a slacker!

nah your not a slacker... alot of airlines don't let you book that far in advance. i had researched airlines and narrowed down to which one i wanted to book with and then followed it to find the earliest possible time i could book. thought about waiting to see if prices came down but with that being a holiday time frame there i am afraid we wouldnt get what we needed for all of us. if it was just the 3 of us i was planning for i would have waited longer to book it.

We have our pre-cruise hotel booked but haven't booked our air yet. I've been checking out fares but haven't been able to put in our dates yet. Should be able to now but I just started a new job (same company) this past week so I've been busy busy busy with training.

I've got a day off coming up next week so I'll most likely spend part of that morning looking at booking our air.

ok i am curious is anyone interested in getting together at the pan pacific hotel for a meet the nite before our cruise? maybe meet in the lobby at a certain time or something? this goes for those of you at other hotels as well. not sure how everyone will feel with the traveling and time changes but just a thought.

Just booked flight on Continental out of New Orleans. We have one stop in Houston, so hopefully, it will not be too bad. It was about $600 with taxes for each person. We have a cruise coming up in November, but I think I am most excited about the Alaskan cruise. I cannot wait to see Alaska for the first time!

Just booked our Delta flight out of LA - $378 RT to Vancouver. Wanted non-stop, but in order to get 3 of our 5 tickets using air miles we have to fly through Salt Lake City. Airfare, hotel, rental car are all booked :thumbsup2. Now all we have to do is plan for excursions. Can't wait for DCL to post the Port Adventures.

We are paying about the same. ;) Are you flying into Vancover or Seattle???

Yikes, I think we'll be paying a bundle to fly from Michigan. My TA is keeping her eye out for flights for us.

We are flying directly into Vancouver. With 2 children, we just felt that was best. Considering that we are flying all the way from New Orleans, I thought that price was fairly reasonable. We are paying only about $100 less to fly to Memphis for our 15th anniversary in December (My son loves Elvis and has been begging to go to Graceland, so of course, we are taking him for our anniversary, LOL!).

from ohio to vancouver we are paying 565 per person. although that is good since it was going to be around 500 to go into seattle.

I think we all got great prices, since we booked early. I have been watching the airfare nonstop to Vancover this summer, & it has been in the ball park of $700.00 Roundtrip nonstop. I am happy, & releived that the air part is done & over with:worship:

"Happy early anniversary" cruisenow01, my DH & I will be celebrating our 20th on the Wonder July 5 2011

We'll be celebrating our 24th (which is on the 11th) :woohoo: Fun to be traveling with other newlyweds!

Hi everyone. Hi Patricia!

I haven't been on the boards much at all, so I apologize in advance if this has already been addressed . . . has anyone found out which nights are formal, semi-formal, pirate night, etc. Is it too early to get this info???

I'm jealous of all these great prices directly into YVR. For us, out of Richmond or Dulles, its $700ish. Its only $300 into Seattle, so it looks like thats what we'll be doing.

if you email them they may have the info. Just go to the dcl website and do the contact and ask away. They seem to have information just not giving us much of it unless you ask for it specifically. :rolleyes1

We are all good here. School starts Monday - can't believe its here already. We went to Yellowstone and the Tetons this summer - was a wonderful trip and made the summer fly by.

My friend Cindy and her twins will be cruising with us. Can't wait for you to meet her - lots of fun.

Enjoy your sunny beach weekend! :)

No luck. They don't have the details yet on which nights are which. She did tell me though that they have added a "tropical" night. I've never heard of that before - will be nice to have something new.

She did confirm the 1:40 all ashore time in Ketchikan.
