My husband and I will be visiting Disneyland this summer for 3 days, one of them being the 4th of July. How crowded will the parks be? We visit WDW every year around the holidays and have learned what to expect crowd wise in Florida. However, this is my 1st visit to Disneyland since childhood, and my husband's first trip to Anaheim. We are extremely excited, but just want to know what to expect on that day in particular. In addition, are there any special events planned for the 4th? Thank you in advance!

July 4 is one of the very busiest days of the year. Rates up there with New Years day. Not sure what, if anything special they will do. But, be sure to get a spot for fireworks very early.

if what hlbtimes2 said is like New Years Eve/New Years day, crowd control starts around 5PM. Hence, people will start lining up a little before then.
