July 4th week?

We will be there over 4th of July again this year and are very excited. We are doing a 2 week stay at AKL and managed to snag a reservation at California Grill on the 4th of July. We plan to spend the day in Epcot. We did this a few years back (we actually got to raise the flag at Wilderness Lodge on the 4th when my son was 7 and it was very special). Epcot was very manageable as most people flocked to MK.

I was there last year on the 4th. It was crowded. But those fireworks... wow! We plan to return this coming 4th (along with a million or so friends.)

Do you remember if they had EMH's at MK that day? They currently have PM EMH's at MK on the 3rd and PM EMH's at EP on the 4th. This is the order we were planning to do the parks and fireworks in (since EP only does them on the 4th). But the idea of EMH crowds on top of the special firework shows is a little scary. I am concerned about if we will need to plan to go both days EARLY and stay for the duration? We have ADR's booked both days and I don't want to risk not getting into the parks for them (esp. on the 3rd - we have the Plaza booked for lunch and CRT for dinner which is A LOT OF $ and already pre-paid). I think they recently started some special priced packages for summer...guessing that bookings thus far have been lower than they'd like if they're doing that? Who knows how many people will bite on deals?

I guess we'll find out, because (like everybody else) I'd like to see the special fireworks at MK on the 3rd and then at EP on the 4th (where they also have EMHs.)

That Castle will be wonderful for your dinner, though. Eat slow and enjoy the air conditioning! (You paid for it!)

Although my b-day is actually on the 2nd it's gonna be for my birthday dinner - big splurge for us - I just decided I wanted to eat with Cindy that night!! LOL

We've only eaten there once - and it was a big splurge for us - and worth every penny. It was absolutely magical. I hope you have a wonderful birthday w/ Cindy.
