if I go to MK in the am////leave for a bit and go to ohanas for dinner
will I be able to access either MK or mgm
after dinner ????

Are you staying onsite? This will make a difference once they start different levels of closing. There is a chance that as evening draws near MK will begin to close down in stages. This is because many people will start to pile in to see the fireworks.

Didnt think there woiuld be a problem leaving and goling back

MGM doesn't usually close due to attendance. However, if you are staying onsite-- you'd still be let into MK (for example) during the first level of closing. Which is really the most common- and really only common during the Holiday's. It has happened in the evening on July 4th. So, if you are adamant about being in MK for fireworks be sure to get there earlier.
