We have dinner reservations at Trail's End at 7:30 on July 4th. I was wondering if you can see the MK fireworks from the beach there and will we be allowed to view the fireworks from there? We'll now be staying at POFQ. Thanks

Yes, you can, but I'm not sure if they're going to restrict the beach area to those staying at FW, or perhaps only a section. I know that at the Poly they are pretty strict about who gets on the beach during the fireworks.

No restrictions at the Fort.

I understand the Poly having rules due to their location across the lake from the MK and their easy accessibility via monorail.

Also, in another post here on the Camping Board, one of our "boots on the ground" posters said the speaker/sound system along the Fort beach was being upgraded in the past few days so I'm glad they are taking care of the campers too.

I'm soliciting opinions here for July 3/4 :)

The last time I stayed for July 4 I was in a MK CL room at the Poly on the 2nd or 3rd floor. I never had to leave my room to watch the fireworks, but I can tell you the beach area was pretty crowded. Since that time, they tightened the rules and it's difficult to access the area. We got on the boat to the MK AFTER the fireworks were over and it was still pretty crowded.

Right now, my plans are to go to the MK on the 3rd for a few fastpasses later in the evening, watch the fireworks and make a bee-line for the exit.

On the 4th, we plan on taking the boat to the MK in the morning, get on the few FPs we have, and run for the exit. Dinner is at Trails end around 6, and we were going to drive over to EC to see the fireworks there, with the thought that it's a bigger park and it won't be nearly as packed.

I'm wondering if we just shouldn't stay put. Our other option is to drive to the YC/BC have dinner at the Yachtsman (or another EC hotel) and walk in via the International gateway so we don't have to deal with the parking lot.

Our other option is to just stay put at FW and go to the beach - IF they have sufficient cart parking available.

Thoughts?

In the past we have seen fireworks at Magic Kingdom on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th. Of course a crowd was there but we dealt with it. LOL! We enjoyed it! We thought how much worse could it be to go to Magic Kingdom over the 4th. LOL! So.... bad that our vacation over July 4th, 2013 I could only get my family to go to the water park and eat dinner out afterwards at Out Back. This year 2015 we are camping at the fort, so...we are going to see fireworks at magic Kingdom on the 3rd, have reservations for the grandchildren(3 & 6) at Mickeys BBQ at 7pm, on the 4th , and hopefully enough time to see fireworks afterwards at the beach.
