We are doing a quick, long weekend trip for the 4th of July and have the option of Club level theme park view at the poly or contemporary (only about 100 difference in price for our stay). We have never done club level or theme park view for either. We are DVC and normally don't do the cash resorts. So, Which has the best view of the fireworks is the First priority as we don't want to be in the parks for that. Also the which as the better lounge foods? thanks in advance.

I have done Poly CL for 7/4 the last two years. Have stayed CR CL several times as well, but not 7/4.

It is really hard to beat Poly for special days like 7/4. I prefer the head-on/straight angle facing the MK. CR is great too, it’s just off to the side.

For 7/4 they shoot off fireworks from the middle island in the 7 Seas Lagoon. That makes fireworks viewing from Poly even better.

They also park the Electrical Water Pageant barges out front of Poly for the show audio, in addition to what runs through the Poly ground speakers.

With a Poly TPV room you will likely opt to watch from your room, but in case you don’t they set up a reserved section with chairs for just CL guests on the beach.

A couple of pics from a Poly CL TPV room from last year in case they are helpful.

When you combine the lounge, the location of the Hawaii longhouse, the viewing angle, reserved viewing, and overall resort vibe, it’s hard to beat Poly. The resort itself (and the CL building/lounge) is very busy on these special days, but to me it’s a lot of fun.

Thanks for the info and images. Mm main concern is getting a lower level theme park view at poly. If a 3rd floor was guaranteed I think it would be an easier decision.

I haven't stayed club level at Contemporary, but for NYE I had a theme park view room and it was amazing. Yes, the view is a little off to the side, but we didn't really notice. I loved being able to watch from our balcony and avoid all the crowds in the park.

Yeah, that’s among the risks for the TPV booking category - always a risk you could be on 2 with no balcony. At least you have the reserved beach viewing area if you want to opt to watch outside - it makes up for the variability you can encounter with the floors.
