We're going for the first time on July 4 and were wondering just how crowded the parks are (we hear they're horrible). We've been there over spring break (including Easter) and Christmas. How does the 4th stack up?

The 4th stacks up with those times, and MK has been known to close on the 4th. It did when we were there in 2002. If you've been at Easter and Christmas, the crowds won't overwhelm you and you know what to expect.

They're not that crowded in the morning. After lunch they start getting really crowded. :D

We were there last year for the 4th and we are leaving tommorrow!!!!! We do not even attempt to go to the parks on the 4th. Last year we went to Typoon Lagoon and then walked over to the bridge at the boardwalk to watch the fireworks at epcot. Looking at the mobs of people in the park, I am glad we did. Plus we had a great view of the fireworks. This year we are doing the same thing, however, since we are staying at the WL we are going to watch from the lake there. It is suppossed to be a great spot to watch the MK fireworks.

And it was not very crowded at all. Now this was during the low point of the economy. The YC was only half booked and we got a great deal.

We did MK once on the 4th - my son just HAD to because it is his birthday (this was his 9th birthday and first trip to WDW). Never again, will I do that. We have since visited EPCOT on the 4th and it was not too bad. Mostly we don't do any of the parks on the actual day of the 4th.

We've been to MK three times on the 4th. The crowds are pretty much like at Christmas. We think the crowds are part of the fun - the fireworks are fantastic (they ring the park) and the crowd really adds to the mood.

I've never done the fourth of July in WDW, but if it's anything close to Disneyland's DO NOT GO! I swear to god, the plaza connectining all the lands was a mess. Even physical fights between fathers broke out.

I am going for the first major Disney Holiday- I don't think Valentines day actually counts. I am leaving tomorrow, and I read this post and I am not sure if I am excited, or afraid?!?! I will be pushing a wheel chair.....do you think it is a good idea to be in the overly crowded park? We usually go in December, at low crowd season! I like the idea of watching from one of the beaches, as I have read that MK has the best show. Anyone with any ideas?
