I keep having this dream that I break my wrist again trying to carry the luggage up from Victoria Station but we make it to the Premier Inn Dover and I can't make it to the ship with my luggage. It must be telling me to pack less.

Only 4 more sleeps till we leave

Well I can't pretend that 8 nights in Dover would be anything like as fun as 8 nights on the Magic so thank goodness it is only a dream!

I have finished packing all the kids stuff except for a couple of items I am washing right now. Their case is shut with a list on top of what needs to be added.

Later on I am working on DH and my suitcase. I want to get them packed and closed so I can deal with my mountains of non holiday laundry and also have a clear out of the wardrobes while there is less in them!

I can't believe it is only one week!!

Only have 5 more hours of work! Half-way done packing and am not packing lightly. I will ensure that I have plenty of change for tipping the bellhops, etc, that I will get to carry it!!! Dylan and I have become pretty adept at moving with a rolling bag in each hand, but I am not good at lifting as I pack as close to 50pds as I can!

Is anyone staying at the Grovenor House before and taking the Highlights of London tour???? How about at other Disney arranged Hotels? I assume we will be on the same transfer bus to port.

We are coming down to the wire on getting ready My problem is I keep putting clothes in the suitcase and then changing my mind. My goal is whatever is in the bag on Sunday night...STAYS Called the Credit Card company today and picked up dress for formal night from the cleaners. Only job left is to go to the bank on Monday.

Some people think that I have a "Southern" accent!!!

Today, I bought a new blackberry 9700 mobile and phew I am trying to work out with this....

Also, I got exchange money euros and dollars for this cruise

Now, I have not start packing

Olivia's clothes are on the bed so I have to sort it out for her....

I am going to sewing the disney buttons for her pirate top but I cannot remember where I put it

I am off now and look for it...

Hey Sheryl, we are staying at the Grovesnor before the ship. We get in Tuesday AM. We aren't taking the tour as I've been to London previously and feel pretty good winging it. We are going into Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews and have tickets to STOMP at the Ambassadors. Other than that we will probably just tube around and hit the highlights. (Brit Museum, Windsor maybe etc).

Looking forward to meeting all you you all on the ship. My daughters are very excited to meet as many new friends as possible!

John -- we are arriving the morning of Wednesday, and have tickets to see the Wicked Matinee that afternoon. Didn't want to chance a night show with jet lag!! This is our first time in London so we are trying to cram in all the sites!!! We will be seeing you on the bus!

We are using Disney Transfers Friday morning! Our flight arrives at Heathrow around 8:30 am on Friday. Just DH and myself ... maybe we will see you there!?! (P.S. My name is also Marie)

our flight gets into heathrow just a short while before you so we will probably be on the same bus i'm 5'5 tall with blonde boy'ish hair and i'll be quite easy to spot as i will be wearing my i love sailors t shirt so if you spot me pls do say hello

it's all very exciting now just one more week and we will be onboard this magical ship

I just need to get that pile of clothes plus the girls shorts and tee shirts into those suitecases.

Hey everyone

My daughters are all away at their cousins caravan at the seaside tonight and although it is midnight, I am in the middle of packing and two or our bedrooms look like a whirlwind has passed through! Piles of clothes on my bed and open cases and bags on the twins bed. Then on the floor is the hand luggage, all the electrical gear and charges etc etc! Every so often i pick up my iphone and add another item to the growing list of things still to buy, wash, sort out etc. The way things are going at the minute, I will end up sleeping on the sofa or in Rebecca's bottom bunk because I don't see me getting into my own bed! Its gone midnight and I feel as if I still have a heap of stuff to get through - I have to make the most of the girls being out of the house!!

Quick question - can someone tell me can you "post" postcards on the Magic or do you need to do it ashore - find somewhere selling stamps in the port yourself??

Right, back to the packing and see you all in less than a week!!

Ooohh good question. Sorry i don't know the answer. 8 years ago on our honeymoon cruise (not DCL) we posted loads of postcards on the ship (at guest services!) but we have never thought to try on DCL. Will be interested in the answer.

Our bedrooms sound similar to yours except tomorrow my Aunt and cousins are coming so we had to clear the spare rooms and all the clothes and suitcases are now on my bedroom floor!

Not 100% about the postcards, not sure I would trust them as what country would they have stamps for (assuming every country would need a different stamp)

I was thinking the same thing about sleeping on the girls bunk tonight, but it is only 7:00, I decided to wash the sheets and they are in the dryer, and I hate the sheets that are in the closet so I will wait.

I was testing, posting from my ipod to my travel blog and it assigns you are email address to send to , and mine has Disney in the address

Tonight's to do list is dowload some games and update addresses so I can send postcards.

I cannot finish packing till the girls come home (husband has promised to arrive with all the clothes washed) but it rained over 60mm's today so I have a feeling everything is going to be soaking wet and he will not be able to find a washer or dryer at the trailer.

Deb, don't know if you saw the post or not, but Brent was still on the ship, just not 'working' (someone talked to him in the dining room where he was having dinner...in Yolanda's station of course!) Don't know if he'll be back on duty for your cruise, but you may still get to see him on the ship.

Just 5 days left now. Both suitcases are closed but i have to open them to add a few bits but I am feeling ok about the packing. Need to weigh them as although there are no flights for us on the way we have to fly home.

Been working on the FE gifts, they are NEARLY finished!
