We are heading to British Columbia in a couple of weeks to visit family and there is the local lake monster called Ogopogo, that I know my oldest dd worries about when she is in the lake.

It is always hard going back to work, 4 more weeks of work till I am off for a week.

Things are pretty slow here, I did notice the price of the cabin I have booked has gone up in price so that must means some cabins are selling but I think this cruise is not selling all that well. I am actually looking forward to this cruise as Spain and Portgual are lovely places to visit, but it is hard finding information for cruise type excursions.

Here are some pictures where we live. We live in a small city about 100K people and a 2 minute walk fromt the main mall but we back onto green space and this is who visits.

This is about an hour north of our place, canola fields in flower

and where my girls and husband are speding most of the summer.

I had a terrible weather this week, thunderstorm and lots of raining...

My kids are going away to Caravan with their nana and grandad next week I hope weather stay dry for them...

I am going to Aberdeen (my home) to see my friend and stay overnight to discuss about New York for November..

It's Friday but I am working tonight huh

They were fantastic cruises. We'd have done another Med one but the ports were too similar for us! And its not that long since we went to Malta.

I would have loved the Baltic cruises but I a a teacher ad I can't take holiday in term time. I did try to persuade DH that I could ring in sick for a few days............to no avail!!!!

Still if the Magic comes here.... who knows. One Baltic cruise is bound to fall during a holiday!!!!! Sometime... hopefully.....

I've been lurking for a while and loved your pictures Scottishwee35 of Eilean Doon. It is such a beautiful place!!!

Yes. People thought we were crazy when we'd booked this cruise before 2009 holidays/ vacations!!!!
If the past 9 months can go this quick (since booking) how fast will the next year go! Its exciting looking at the DCL website and finding more information about the ports appearing. Can't wait to see the actual excursions and how much they are going to charge

Having looked at some of the tourist information for Cadiz, Lisbon and Gib, these look like ports that can be tackled easily without an organised excursion. For Vigo I want to see Compostella de Santiago (sp???), a medieval pilgrimage site surpassed only by Jerusalem and Rome. Don't know what DH and DD want to do.... but they'd better want the same!!!!

Just hope we get better weather for England and Cherborg, next year. Its RAINING again!!!!!

It is exciting to have some new additions to this cruise. I need some younger girls though, or there is going to be no time up by the adult pool for me.

If the next year goes as fast as this summer does it will be here before we know it.

Tomorrow it will be 1 year till the cruise. and I guess I can make a count down ticker for the cruise (too depressing to have one more than 1 year away)
