July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

You could send some heat our way, it has been a cool summer in Ontario, which I guess is good for the AC bill.

I have been slowly paying off this cruise whenever the Candian dollar gets stronger, made the second to last one last night, so it should be paid off by the end of the summer and then it will be time to look at the airfare:eek:. I have a feeling the airfare is going to be close to cruise cost. Too bad the cruise was not this summer as there have been some amazing deals on airfare to Europe.

What is everyone doing for airfare? I will probably go Air Canada, they have direct flights to London and also they have a flight that leaves Barcelona connecting in Frankfurt that leaves on the Saturday after noon. Past experience has told me that after the cruise the girls are too tired to do anything so extending the holiday on the end of a cruise is not a good idea.

Hope everyone is enjoying summer.

LOL, I sure wish I had some of your cold air from up where you are!

We are going to use Air mile points for part of the trip( going from Dallas to Sweden) but not sure about going to London and to Barcelona?

That is smart to pay with your money is higher then the dollar.;) I wish we could do that but can't.:headache:

I was so happy to get the discount from rebooking on board last month!!:woohoo: That helped save us some money!!

Who all is coming over for this cruise from you all? For us it will be me, my DH, and my 2 DS's. Maybe my DH's mom and dad but not for sure.

I take it you are doing some travelling before the cruise. I cannot take off from work more than 12 days including weekends so we will not have much time, unless of course I find a new job:wizard:

It will be just me and my 2 girls, my husband is not able to make it and I could not convice friends to join us.

Yes, my DH is from Sweden so we are planned to go visit this next summer and I liked the idea of doing the Disney Cruise.:goodvibes I think we will go for sure unless things come up with his work, or god forbid someone gets sick and or can't make it for some reason.
I have many friends from Canada and I thought your all got of a lot of vacation time compared to US? Or is it that you have your additional vacation time planned for other things next year?
Is there any chance that your DH will end up going?

Another HOT day here!LOL

I get 3 weeks vacation but I have certain tasks that need to be done every second Monday and I have no back up  so it makes longer vacations impossible. This cruise and there was one 10 day med cruise that fits in with work, but I did not want to take the girls out of school for 10 days in September.

My husband has some health issues and last time he travelled he got very ill, so he has no desire to travel, but that is ok, as we have so much fun without him. I must admit I do feel guilty that he is missing out, but it is his choice and I want to travel with the girls as they are growing up so fast and soon will not want to do things with me.

yeah, I can understand that it hard to work out and plan due to work.
And that is a total bummer about your DH and health issues but it is so nice that he is supportive for you all to go.:)
I also agree about the kids and I LOVE taking them on vacations.:goodvibes

Thanks so much! I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I have been all over England, and Wales, and Ireland, but have never made it to Scotland! I really have to put that up near the top of my list . . .:)

Loch Lomond is a so beautiful scene, drive to Inverness to see beautiful view too... Aww wish move up to there....

Lots of Tourist there from USA, Canada, Italy and Germany!! but I find it was quite pricey up there....

But we enjoyed our 4 nights break and stupid weather too... Sunny then heavy raining then sunny then light rain...

I like Logo 2 better,

So what is the difference between the Union Jack and the Flag you have for England, I do not think I have ever seen that flag before.
