We went here http://www.titusville.com/Page.asp?NavID=207
Great place to watch it from. Loads of people and good atmosphere. One we saw was late afternoon in August so really hot to be out there waiting but was worth it, one of best experiences of my life.
Only 4 more missions left as far as I know.
One is scheduled 5th April, we are there 4th-16th April
One you want to see on July 29+ we are hoping for a delay(a very good chance) as we are there again 4th-29th August.
So hope we get to see 2 of the last 4.
Cheers Wayne, that looks a decent spot, were in Orlando from the 24th July-13th Aug so should have a good chance of seeing this one after so many near misses.
We saw the one from Titusville then last August we saw one from the Disney Magic, on last night of our cruise just before midnight we were still quite a few miles from Port Canaveral but we saw it light the night sky.
Nice shot, can actually see the shuttle rather than just the light from the rockets which is all my sad little camera could manage.
We watched the launch from Titusville too - it's a great location as you can look straight across the river to KSC without obstructions. We actually parked in the JC Penney car park and then wandered behind an office building to be by the water side (we felt a little guilty doing this until we got around the corner and found loads of people already there!).
Getting a spot was fairly easy, we got there about 90 mins early but then went for a wander around the area investigating prospective spots and even popping in to JC Penney's for a bit - we had no problems finding a great pitch around 25-30 mins before.
Plan to either hang around for a couple of hours or suck up a traffic jam pretty much all the way back to WDW though - the entire area/main road is a massive bottle neck though granted we had a 2:30pm launch so was middle of day, and earlier one might be a little easier. That said - it's very, very cool to see so totally worth the jams!

We had heard of the bad traffic but Sat Nav took us back thru a place called Christmas, adds about 10 mins on more than going the main route but traffic free the whole way.
Hopefully this will work, you can see on the map Christmas, followed the road until we hit outskirts of Orlando then down I4. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=28.508522,-81.055756&spn=0.349964,0.724411&z=11
